The fortress Kasta Rubra is located in the area of Kaleto, 6km west of village of Izvorovo (Harmanly municipality) in Bulgaria. It has an elongated, irregular pentagonal form with a rectangular tower on every corner.
During the excavations which started in 2007 there were discovered a necropolis and a medieval settlement from XI-XII century and a Roman road station (in the foot of Kaleto hill). There were found also large amount of artifacts from which the most valuable is a treasure of gold Byzantine coins, belt ornaments and lots of pottery.
