Homage to my favorite manga series.
"Thoughts and emotions are merely products of minor electric currents... you're no different form your own electronic devices, just a bit more complex."
To gain control of the world of space is certainly one of our tasks. The danger begins when in gaining power in the realm of space we forfeit all aspirations in the realm of time. There is a realm of time where the goal is not to have but to be, not to own but to give, not to control but to share, not to subdue but to be in accord. Life goes wrong when the control of space, the acquisition of things of space, becomes our sole concern.
Nothing is more useful than power, nothing more frightful. We have often suffered from degradation by poverty; now we are threatened with degradation through power. There is happiness in the love of labor; there is misery in the love of gain. Many hearts and pitchers are broken at the fountain of profit. Selling himself into slavery to things, man becomes a utensil that is broken at the fountain.
AS CIVILIZATION ADVANCES, the sense of wonder almost necessarily declines. Such decline is an alarming symptom of our state of mind. Mankind will not perish for want of information, but only for want of appreciation. The beginning of our happiness lies in the understanding that life without wonder is not worth living. What we lack is not a will to believe but a will to wonder.

These eight columns form a sculpture in the pedestrians section at the eastern end of Century Avenue, close to Century Square. 8 is the Chinese "lucky number".
This is a "vertigo" perspective of the sculpture in the previously uploaded shot.. And no, I did not lay on the ground to do this: The camera was on a tripod, just 30 cm above ground level, aligned with the axis of the artwork, the lens positioned above the center of the artwork (axis and center are marked by the joints of the granite floor tiles), the horizontal camera adjustment was done using a spirit level.

After British Railways was first formed in 1948, the original idea for the express passenger train livery was crimson and cream coaches paired with blue steam locomotives. Sadly, this very attractive combination was short lived, however today it was seen once again over the Settle & Carlisle line.
A4 Pacific No. 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' looks fantastic working hard pass Greengates with the return 'Settle & Carlisle Fellsman' charter, running as 1Z47 Carlisle - Crewe.

In our earth-lab, a life form has existed randomly, thanks to the reaction of atoms of the ingredients which were already there, in the lab, for the creation of this life form. It has started to develop and expand on the earth, randomly. Later, after billions of years, it got conscious, randomly , but not all life forms have headed to the same direction. The evolution occurred according "the tree of life”.
Speculation:
Big bang has sealed the fate of our future by creating the atom based universe, like all the necessary ingredients were put in a beaker, in a chemical lab, to become the expected ( not randomly) chemical solution.
A life form is the expected result, depending of the time, of the existence and reaction of ingredients in a beaker.
This scene made me do a double take. Had some alien life form washed ashore? The infrared makes the live matter look ghostly white.
This is a pair of Common Blue Damselflies 'in the wheel' forming a heart shape. Damselfly sex is complicated, so pay attention!
The (blue) male initiates the reproductive process by depositing some sperm from his primary genitalia near the tip of his tail onto secondary genitalia under the 2nd segment of his abdomen (just below his 'chest') . Grasping a female by the back of her head or 'prothorax', they fly around in tandem until she is ready to collect the sperm, which she does by looping around so she can collect the sperm with her genitalia located near the tip of her tail - which is what is happening in this picture. They can remain like this for a few seconds or a few minutes, and can even fly around conjoined like this. At some point, she will straighten out, and then they fly in tandem to a nearby stretch of slow flowing water where she will deposit her eggs. I believe that the eggs are not fertilized until they are laid, so it is important the male keeps hold of her until the eggs are deposited to prevent other males from mating with her. The damselflies play no role in caring for their offspring and, in fact, only live a matter of weeks in the winged form. The eggs hatch and develop over a few weeks and the nymphs grow, shedding their skins several times over at least one year, some species multiple years, until, when the time is right, the final 'instar' climbs up a plant stem and sheds its skin to emerge as the final, flying adult form - transitioning from water breathing to air breathing in the process. The adult forms only live for a few weeks, spending that time eating and breeding. Odonata (damselflies and dragonflies) are amongst the most successful animals on earth, surviving virtually unchanged (apart from size) for hundreds of millions of years, being found in fossil records. No species has evolved from them - it seems any mutation makes them less successful.
All these mentions of sex, mating, copulation, sperm and genitals will get lots of hits by people searching for porn on Flickr!
I`m off for a week...
Enjoy yourselves, give life a smile...
I will miss all of you - `hope you are fine...

When you get fed up being there for hours and a couple of days on the trot taking photos of the Golden Gate Bridge and look for inspiration, nature is a real tonic. I just looked left and the sea was making its feelings known. The Pacific Ocean wasn't really pacified 😂😂

interesting sandstone forms in the lower Antelope Slot Canyon outside of Page Arizona, What do you see?
This is called a slot canyon, a narrow rift in the sandstone which can be 35' deep and at times almost too narrow to walk through. Other area's the canyon widens out to 20 ~30 feet. The sandstone swirls are formed by flooding water and wind currents over many many years. The Canyon featured is called "Lower Antelope Canyon" and Lower and Upper are both located just 5 miles east of Page Arizona

Harvey Dent, AKA Two-Face, is one of the Batman's most dangerous and conflicted foes.
---
Two-Face was one of the easier characters to build for, in large part because of his simplistic suit design and large (comparatively) stature. That said however, his face was one of the most challenging aspects as it required me to build two halves of one head that spanned the width of 3 (and not 4) studs, while still being stable. Although not perfectly divided, I used a printed leg (Azog) and Ninjago stickers (among others) to help bridge the gap and even out the burns.
My Two-Face takes inspiration from Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Arkham City. His base is one of the collection's largest and it depicts an imploded courthouse.
