Appropriate floral arrival to commemorate the first celebration of the day without my own Mom and my first real attempt to incorporate text into an image. Both learning experiences.

This is my mother she was a WREN in the British navy and was in communications. Ivy was surrounded by brass as she took down a message, the sinking of the Bismarck. The Bismarck was torpedoed by the Art Royal then intense bombardment by British ships King George V and Rodney. So many souls perished in the war on both sides such a waste of lives. Lest we forget.
I'm in a flower mood, especially now that March has finally arrived. Here are some dainty Forget-Me-Nots that I captured last May.

We pause to remember, on this day, the 25th of April all those who gave the Supreme Sacrifice in war through the years and to thank those who returned from the many and various theatres of war through the years.
As the Eternal Flame burns forever, so we must never forget.
