This is the gift that was just a tiny bit too big for MM. A gorgeous little red elephant which I believe my friend brought from a trip to India. Another gift from a neighbour, a little pot of 4 leaf clover. I picked one to give to the elephant to hold, it seems to carry it with joy!
Support for Ukraine
I captured this image of a soybean field last fall in Knox County. I used the Skylum Luminar Neo software program to edit and filter the golden brown soybeans to yellow and deepen the blue of the sky. The Skylum company and team is based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Many on their team have remained in Ukraine and are working and sheltering. We have chosen to support Ukraine through Save the Children.

"I will love you all the days of my life"
And, he did. My stepdad, Charlie, entered my life 45 years ago and was the only father I ever knew. I posted this photo for Macro Monday on May 2, not knowing that he had passed earlier that morning. I would like to dedicate this photo to him. It is a fitting tribute to all he meant to me. I love you, Charlie :)
Jenny Holzer: For Paula Modersohn-Becker

5/7 Purple Passion - Colour Fusion
Although I usually love a mug, much of my family prefers a teacup. This one was cherished and belonged to my Great Grandmother and currently resides in my parents house.
This was the perfect evening for a cup of tea but I’m not sure how much my Nan would have appreciated my choice of company.
Big robot is searching for survivors....ha,ha!
have a grand week guys.thank you for comments and faves.

Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love (2015 Remaster)

from last year in our garden - Frankfurt-Nordend
as I was not able to take new pictures in our garden yet ...
Explored: 28.02.2020
Well, I like the majestic beauty of an tree like this. I think it is a Common Oak (European Oak, Quercus Robur, zomereik, Stieleiche, Chêne Pédonculé) and this one too was growing on Offa's Dyke near Chirk Castle, Wales.
Yes, we're up to the last pic for this year's 52Weeks for Dogs group, and can't believe we didn't miss any weeks.
It sure has been motivational to have to get out of the house regularly in order to get Pip posted in every week.
Sometimes by a few minutes before deadline.
Being the last, this one was the hardest to choose, as there were some others more focussed, better light, but her face wasn't showing.
I thought we might as well end with a shot of this girl in the water again. AGAIN !!
We've loved participating in the 52 Weeks for Dogs group this year, most appreciative for the commaraderie and friendships we've made, and the inspiration and enjoyment seeing so many wonderful photos from you all.
But I totally expected my health would be picking up by now, and it will be too physically difficult to continue in 12016, as I just don't know what medical stuff I'll be in for.
Recently, it's near impossible to sit at the computer for any length of time, and visit everyone and leave comments, and so for the most part I've been faving.
I'll miss everyone in 52WfD, but fully intend to drop in when I can.
Thank you so much for being such a fantastic group !
Best wishes for a wonderful coming year, and if all goes well, I do hope to rejoin in 2017.
At present, still contemplating if I could possibly do the Monthly doggy group …
sooc … does look better in large …x

I took this photo the other day but Nicole convinced me to upload it!
My window MEGA needs a wash.
It's a shame it was so dirty otherwise i'd have quite liked this picture.
"Beg for forgiveness..." is what to do if you "happen" to end up in a closed greenhouse because you didn't see the "Closed" sign on the door (....because all you could see were the tulips and hyacinths blooming beyond it...) at the Lyman Conservatory.
But no need this time! This is an exquisite little Fritillaria assyriaca in the "tunnel" in the cold holding room waiting for its debut. (Thanks, Steve!)
There were cars lined up at the conservatory yesterday even though the 2015 Spring Bulb Show doesn't open until Saturday, March 7th. Seems we're all ready for Spring... :)

Thanks Latrry, I am constantly amazed by your excellent images
Thanks for your support and inspiring me.
See in Project contact Thank-You. # 96 When I was taking this, a rattle snake was sleeping behind me. I can't not blame my lack of perfect focus on the snake.
Got a photo done as a belated Birthday gift for my beautiful daughter Sojin! I love you so much panda! <3
Also another huge thanks to Snow Chocobo for doing this amazing photo for me!
This one's for Russ Barnes (www.russbarnes.co.uk)
I was lucky enough to be shooting with him a couple of weekends ago (on an excellent Greg Whitton workshop). We were climbing Moelwyn Mawr in Snowdonia, Wales, watching some incredible weather moving across the landscape. I'd started packing up my gear up at this point, eager to climb further but Russ (the wily fox) had seen this cloud developing and waited... and waited.. and waited just a bit more, until we got this shot. Respect, Russ - great lesson!
Y Garn is the hill in the middle distance, with the long ridge of Cadair Idris behind (about 20 miles away).
Yesterday I got to know that Gunnar ("Saul Panzer") passed away a couple of weeks ago.
Gunnar was one of my first contacts on Flickr - and I dare to say we became friends. We were of the same age, grew up quite close on different sides of the narrow Öresund strait, Gunnar on the danish side, I on the swedish. We soon found out we had much in common, lots of mutual references and experiences. There were some rock concerts in Copenhagen and Lund in the end of the 60s and beginning of the 70s we both must have attended to simultaneously, of course without knowing each other then. When I posted a pic showing myself from the happy hippie years, Gunnar commented: "It is great to know, when someone has been the same places as one self (and I am not talking about geography)".
Actually it was on Gunnar's stream Barbara and I came to know each other. Gunnar was very happy for this. Last summer we visited Copenhagen and afterwards posted some pics from there. Gunnar reproached us for not having made a visit to him. We said, next year we will surely go to Denmark again, and then we'll meet. Gunnar sent us his address and phone number, and we looked forward for this.
But during autumn his presence at Flickr became more sparse. "Safely back from reality but just for the time being", he once wrote, but we didn't understand. He continued to make occasional postings of his beloved daughter Louise and other members of his family, but refrained from commenting, only made himself known by silent faves now and then.
Now he is gone. He was a good man. I miss him.
This beautiful hibiscus originated in Syria...and now the country is in ruins..lives, homes, . fields destroyed..maybe forever. The news cycle has forgotten the eyes of the little children traumatized by the complete destruction of their childhood This horrible war should be an example to us all..absolute and brutal power is not the answer to a simple request for freedom . you can help by supporting the White Helmets...the search, rescue and medical teams.
