So Mister Dylan wins a Nobel prize for literature, that sure has created a stir :)

Many years ago, and I mean a whole lot :) I had a guy sing this song to me while he played his guitar, sounds romantic?

He asked me if I wanted to hear the song he sang to his German Shepherd dog named "Lady" :)

image taken in Maui in 2009 and cranked in Lightroom very recently :)

As soon as I put this gown on I knew it rated two pictures. Both gorgeous and sexy, I am extremely happy to have this in my "closet". Now I just need a formal event to go to.

These wonderful dresses were created by Love Life Designs for this years Fashion for Life event and are available through March 19, 2017. Here is the lm maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Glam%201/91/182/23

Fashion for Life is the kickoff mega event for Relay for Life of Second life relay season. Relay for Life of Second life is a fundraising event based in Second Life that benefits the American Cancer Society. It is modeled after real life Relay's for Life and our season ends the same way with a 24 hour relay walk around a track that (in sl) is created by sim builders with campsites decorated by individual teams. The first Relay for Life of Second Life was in 2005 and since then we have raised more that $2.5 million dollars. This is my third year relaying and I am part of team Cherubs for a Cure. If you have any questions about Fashion for Life or Relay for life of Second life let me know.

Credits are important to me as I don't make the stuff and Second Life would be very dull if it weren't for all the creators who do. The variety here is amazing. In a lot of ways, making a photograph here is like making a movie -- you need people who make stuff from trees to monsters to clothes to poses, people who create the sets, the actors (avators) and photographers. It is a wonderful collaboration between a lot of people that results in one photograph.... well, ok, a lot of photographs, lol.

" ... a day spent with dreaming and sunsets and refreshing breezes cannot be bettered" ― Nicholas Sparks

For mountain and stream, tree and leaf, root and blossom, every form in nature is echoed in us and originates in the soul whose being is eternity and is hidden from us but none the less gives itself to us for the most part in the power of love and creation.

For ways to remove all the bad that we do

From the heart and the soul of the city side and cold

For ways to collect what we say and what we save

To discard and discover a brand new way

I know you feel it too

These words get overused

When we get up and over it and over them

Up and over it and over them

I know this may seem very unrealistic, but yes Megan and I stood in the middle of a highway during rush hour. We are both very daring, I don't know if it's a good thing. Haha

LOOK

This building is for rent, hmm NOT!

So instead, a photo will have to do. It reminds me of a Pixar movie.

The term galanthophile was probably invented by the noted British plantsman and garden writer E. A. Bowles (1865–1954) in a letter to his friend Oliver Wyatt, another keen collector of bulbs, whom he addressed as "Dear Galanthophil". Wyatt may have been the first person to whom the term was applied but he was by no means the first galanthophile; as well as Bowles himself there had been keen collectors of snowdrops since at least the mid 19th century. Many galanthophiles are commemorated in the names of snowdrop species or cultivars. (Wikipedia)

Pictured here, my father L.G. McCollom as a WW ll fighter pilot in the Army Air Corps, 8th AF (56th & 353rd Fighter Groups.) His P-47 was shot down over France and he was a POW in Stalag Luft One for 16 months. A career Air Force officer, he was stationed all over the world and our family, while I was at home, moved 11 times in 18 years, including Japan and Germany. He was also deployed away from family for year in Korea and 6 months in Alaska. Retirement ceremony as a Maj. General included an air show by the Thunderbirds. Proud of you Dad. Miss you.

I'm away for a while and will not have access to Flickr so cannot upload or comment. So here's a Barn Owl that I took recently close to home.

Taken for 117 pictures in 2017 #63 "handles", these are the door handles for a shop called Sur la Table, a high end kitchen supply store chain. This one is in Austin, Texas.. Look closely, and you'll see that the handles are in the shape of rolling pins, a nice touch.

soon from rock a flower comes, gesture

for which not one reason is given, which goes

beyond each storm and breath, curious

into the waiting of no paricular save the hand

that tears in, for whatever moves is moved

as if by mistake, but then all would be

wrong, which is not possible, not the wind, not

the mountain, not the angle of light which tells

the stranger to begin again, as he carries

the flower all the way down without asking.

The Bow-Valley Parkway in Alberta, Canada is closed for the stretch that leads from Banff to Johnston Canyon. So you either have to walk or bike, starting at Castle Mountain junction. it's a 6KM hike each way. If you make it you still have to "climb" up to the falls....BUT it's really quite, almost eery, no hustling and bustling on the boardwalks. (those covid times had some "benefits)

Today I read the news that Madeline, one of the cats of my friend Jenn, passed away. She had her for almost twenty years. Such a tragic loss.

Please take a look of her gallery to check for some fantastic photos of her and Madeline and Conor www.flickr.com/photos/kittyslave/

The Tithe Barn at Middle Littleton, Worcestershire, England.

Middle Littleton Tythe Barn, also known as Middle Littleton Tithe Barn, is a grade I listed 12th or 13th-century tithe barn in the village of Middle Littleton, near Evesham in Worcestershire. It is one of the largest and most notable tithe barns in England. The barn is constructed of a mixture of Blue Lias and Cotswold stones, with a stone tile roof. It was originally built for Evesham Abbey, which was the third largest abbey in England. It is now owned and operated by the National Trust.

A tithe barn was a type of barn used in much of northern Europe in the middle ages for storing rents and tithes, one tenth of a farm's produce which was given to the Church. Tithe barns were usually associated with the village church or rectory and independent farmers took their tithes there.
