Compositionally Challenged Week 20 - Active Space
After looking in my bird books, I think this is a Swainson's Hawk.
We watched the hawk for several minutes while it moved from one branch to another before it took flight carrying a piece of bark.
We have this tree at the edge of our town and it look unque. I have heard of other places having a similar tree. This is a winter shot but still cool.

Small enclave South of Pembina. This beauty was wandering around grazing at will. Beautiful creature and nice coat.
When I saw the direction the Greater Roadrunner was heading near the Chisos Basin Visitors Center, I attempted to flank it by going down some steps along a retaining wall and actually found myself looking up at it as it came directly toward me. Somehow, it's feet got lost in the process. Big Bend National Park, Brewster County, Texas.
Thought I would post this one of Jolie, showing the dress I made with her being footloose.

On our last day in the valley I was hoping to find the Sandhill Cranes and we did in the afternoon as we were getting ready to leave. We watched them in the field with the blackbirds attacking and the cows watching and when they flew they caught me off guard....this may be 'footloose' I meant footless, but I like it nevertheless!...:)
