From last May. Extremely underexposed so it has had a pretty good push. SOOC, save cropping, otherwise. Our blossoms are still more than two months away.
The Flowering Quince (Chaenomeles speciosa) bushes flanking our driveway are putting out eye popping masses of blossoms.

This is the first year I have tried tomatillos in a container. I'm craving home grown salsa. So far we're blooming and have what appear to be small husks.
This flowering kale has a delicate beauty. The center has the pink tints, with deeper pink at the center. The dark green outer leaves set off the white and pink beauty of the center.

Each flower is covered by a little "cap". At flowering time, the "cap" (petals) opens at the base of the ovary (that is at the bottom); in a few hours the petals dry out and slip from the flower leaving ovary and stamina completely bare.

About Kaas Plateau, Satara, Maharashtra
The Kaas Plateau also known as the "Kaas Pathar" is a plateau situated in the Western Ghat Sahyadri range, 22 kilometers from Satara city in Maharashtra state of India and is known for various types of wild flowers which bloom during August-September every year. The area of plateau is located at a height of 1200 mt and is approximately 1,000 hectare. The name Kaas originates from Kaasa tree (Elaeocarpus glandulosus). It has been declared as Biodiversity World Heritage Site by The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco). The place has more than 850 different species of flowers and other plants including Orchids, Karvy and carnivorous plants such as Drosera Indica. This falls under the Sahyadri Sub Cluster of Western Ghats which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
