Got some patching to do then each of these will have molds made.

I still have one more version to do before I return to sculpting the limbs. I want to do a "birth" version of the head turned up which will require a redo of the cranium sculpt, including neck and shoulders.

I have a build itch that's needing to be scratched so expect a return to the Nostromo build soon.

Had a muscle injury to deal with that put me out over the past week or so but back at it! More to come!!!

Dome sculpt and vac forming setup for the Protomorph (Xenomorph) from Alien: Covenant - 1:18 scale.

Using a test cast from earlier today, I used Aves FIXIT sculpt and built up the dome for the beast. Sculpted the dome, allowed the FIXIT to sure and reduced the dome all over so I can achieve the correct proportional build of the clear PETG dome the original sculpt represented.

Smoothed and polished the sculpt of the dome, reduced the details below it and built up base to stabilize the piece for vac forming. Yet another view of the main body piece. With the FIXIT Sculpt work completed, the 2 pieces fit together like a charm.

I will wait till Monday for the sculpt to REALLY dry before I sand them and prime.

I used FIXIT Sculpt for the first time last night and wow they are so cool to use! I remade some of the broken pieces and fixed a lot of things that were broken.

Here is the main chest piece. All the white areas are where I applied the FIXIT Sculpt to patch in holes, chips and other damage.

Here is another view of the main body piece. Since the Yellow Marine doesn't carry any shoulder lamps or fire extinguisher or grenades, I plugged the holes for them.

After these dry to rock solid, I can sand them before I prime and paint over them!

All the lower parts of the figure here are ready to be primed! I masked off some sensitive joint areas as well as the areas that will need the yellow paint.

I primed most of the pieces! Also the arms as well. These will get a nice black coat.

I want to use a very very dark shade of brown for highlights in some areas.

This is the left shoulder piece. I merged both pictures in one shot.

It had some damage that occured when I took it apart. I fixed it with the FIXIT.

After very minor sanding, they will be ready to be primed and painted!

The figure will have SOME soft goods included but the kicker is that parts of the sculpt you see here will be sculpted over with more FIXIT to resemble clothing.

5.3 Sculpt update on Saw Gerrera. Star Wars: Andor season 1 - 1:18 scale

Sculpt material - Aves FIXIT Sculpt.

Here is the first iteration of a Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) head sculpt. I need to make some adjustments, add bulk to the back of the head. I usually create a neutral, clean sculpt initially. Then...

Once complete, I will make a mold then cast several to create the second iteration with more facial hair, scaring etc. Still a neutral face.

Then, when that is complete, make another mold and cast, then sculpt an alternate head sculpt of screaming, laughing...whatever may look good. He's a crazy SOB so it needs some emotion behind it.

This version will be based off his appearance in Andor Season 1.

I've said this in the past...I've never been absolute at hitting a likeness dead on. As long as I can get a sense of the actor/actress, character or whatever, I feel I'm moving in the right direction. Still, I have adjustments to make.

5.3 Sculpt update on Saw Gerrera. Star Wars: Andor season 1 - 1:18 scale

Sculpt material - Aves FIXIT Sculpt.

Here is the first iteration of a Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) head sculpt. I need to make some adjustments, add bulk to the back of the head. I usually create a neutral, clean sculpt initially. Then...

Once complete, I will make a mold then cast several to create the second iteration with more facial hair, scaring etc. Still a neutral face.

Then, when that is complete, make another mold and cast, then sculpt an alternate head sculpt of screaming, laughing...whatever may look good. He's a crazy SOB so it needs some emotion behind it.

This version will be based off his appearance in Andor Season 1.

I've said this in the past...I've never been absolute at hitting a likeness dead on. As long as I can get a sense of the actor/actress, character or whatever, I feel I'm moving in the right direction. Still, I have adjustments to make.

5.3 Sculpt update on the Unidentified Greasy Creature from Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.

1:18 scale. Sculpted using Aves FIXIT Sculpt - A two part epoxy.

I posted a video last week of the finished head sculpt for this guy. I have some more videos planned. Stay tuned.

Began working on body detail. Shoulders, arms, hands (have one complete), trunk and upper legs.

The hand is a complete sculpt attached to a swivel joint for the wrist. The other hand will be a trigger, grasp hand for a blade or blaster. They are larger, similar to the ROTJ Gamorrean Guard hands.

The figure will have SOME soft goods included but the kicker is that parts of the sculpt you see here will be sculpted over with more FIXIT to resemble clothing.
