The quiet of the arroyo wraps around the mountains and allows the desert birds their turn to be heard. A gentle breeze ruffles the grasses and flutters the flowers as it hugs the rocks jutting from the wall that used to be a giant mountain.

This is a shot I took in the forest here in Zürich on a day with heavy snowfall. I actually wanted to capture the person walking in the distance in front of me but my camera misfocused on the snow instead of the person. Later I also managed to capture a similar Picture with the “correct” focus, but I think I got lucky with this one as I prefer it this way with the person out of focus. It captures the feel of the falling snow better in my eyes. However, I might show the other one as well one day.

In the photographs themselves there's a definite contrast between the figures and the location.

We're probably all trapped in the Upside Down. How else could we explain the fact that we still have a Mind Flayer for a president?

I think the colours came from looking at a tonne of old Nolan stuff. He had some really great drawings.

Since I built the demonic lady figure, I wanted to follow it up with angelic counterpart, in somehow "inverted" way. Where the Countess was slender and slim, the Angel was supposed to be muscular and massive. At the time though, I did not have parts nor idea how to achieve the look which I wanted, and so the project was on hold.

Enter the Infinity Gauntlet set. A fantastic source of metallic gold parts. The moment I've seen it I knew I'll reforge the gauntlet for angel's armor, altough details remained to be decided for later.

And so, finally I got the set and after just about a week of tinkering, I had initial version done.

Johan, Kris Kelvin and Mateusz from ZT helped me fix some proportions issues - thanks a lot! - and so now I consider this done.

While there was some obvious inspiration here - namely Diablo and Heroes of Might and Magic series, I did not base the figure on any specific character. I started with the wings, inspired by the korean builder Dees, then followed with the body armor, then the hood, rest of the body and the legs.

Few versions of the halo and the swords later and there we have him: The Angelic Inquisitor.
