On a day not conducive to achieving good photograps, another of the many arrivals with Spanish football fans for the UEFA Cup Final.
Touching down on runway 26 at Cotswold Airport (Kemble), this was the final Boeing 747 to be retired from service by French airline Corsair International.
After landing at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN/EDFH)
Sadly one more 747 has just gone from the world. Corsair 747-400 was retired from fleet on June 16, 2020 also it was the last French registration for Boeing 747. This picture is one of my favorite capture from Europe spotting just a year ago. Actually weather forecrast was mostly cloudy but we were really lucky to get full of sunshine when it was landed into HHN. I will never forget such a great moment. Farewell Corsair 747-400.

Een must voor iedere vliegtuigspotter is een bezoek aan Sint Maarten in ons eigen Koninkrijk!
Paar jaar geleden was ik hier een paar dagen.
Opnames vanuit deze hoek is dan ook zeer gewild en zijn gemaakt vanuit een terrasje!
In de wintermaanden en dan met name op de zaterdagen is het best druk verkeer, wanneer vele Amerikanen hierheen komen om te overwinteren.
Ook vanuit Parijs is er geregeld verkeer, hier met een Franse charter.
A must for each aircraftspotter is a visit to Saint Maarten in the Caribbean.
In the wintermonths in the weekends it's very popular for Americans.
Also from France, here seen by French charter Corsair from Paris.
The north part of the Island belongs to France, the south part to Holland.

Corsair International Boeing 747-422 F GTUI at Cotswold/Kemble (EGBP). Originally with United Airlines as N186UA delivered in Aug 1992, acquired by Corsair in Apr 2005 and wfu in Mar 2020 arriving here on 15 June 2020, one of the inboard engines already dismantled.
One of the highlights of this year's La Ferté Airshow: the Corsair Boeing 747-400 making a few low passes just for us! Here banking right, after a low pass at 200 kts...

Corsair International Boeing 747-422s F HSEA, F HSUN & F GTUI at lower left. F HSUN escaped on 12/08/2020 flying direct to Bangor Maine USA and onward to Marana Arizona believed for future cargo conversion. F HSEA by April 2021 was towed to the scrapping area at the east end of the airfield, sad for me personally having seen her at Liverpool in 2019 (6 photos this album).

Making a very rare and welcome appearance in Dublin on a charter service was Corsair 747-422 'F-GTUI' which operated Orly-Dublin and a Dublin-Orly services a week apart.
The 747 first flew for United airlines as N186UA from 1992 to 2005 when it joined the French carrier as F-GTUI. The carrier has stated that it intends to phase out its remaining 747's within the next 18 months.
