Delivered to the Royal Navy on 07Jan64. To The A &AEE 1968 and kept in its former Navy 'jungly' spinach camo scheme. Retired to the Farnborough Apprentice School as a ground instruction airframe in 1986 and to Manston in 1995. Now preserved in the Manston History Museum since 1998.

21.zTL / 212 TL - 21st Tactical Air Force Base / 212th Tactical Squadron.
This aircraft is painted in the colours of AD572 / DU-C which was a Spitfire Vb of 312 Czech Squadron RAF during World War 2. The Squadron was transferred to Czechoslovakia in 1956 and disbanded. I assume the 212th is claiming the heritage of 312 Squadron.

Operated for the Coastguard by Reconnaissance Ventures Ltd on fisheries patrol duties.

Delivered to the RAF on 07Nov66. Transferred to the BAe test fleet in 1998 and sold to Classic Jets in Exeter and registered G-OPIB on 31Dec92. Clearance could not be obtained to fly the Lightning on the UK civil register and it was sold to Thunder City 24Feb97 as ZU-BEW and based in Cape Town South Africa.

Built in Switzerland in 2017 and registered HB-HYX. Transferred to the UK register as G-ETPA on 25Jun18.

Sold to the Australian register as VH-ZLY with Hazelton Airlines on 01Dec97. Merged into Rex Airlines Aug02. Leased to Macair Airlines on 20Apr04 and returned to Rex in Mar05. Sold to the Polish register as SP-KPK with SprintAir on 21May09 and still current.

Built by Short Brothers and Harland Ltd and delivered to the Royal Air Force on 21Dec53 as a B2 bomber. Converted to a U14 in 1961 and converted back to a B2(mod) in 1963. Broken up at Aberporth in 1994. The nose is preserved at the Boscombe Down Museum.

Built in 1918 by Airco as E8894. Not believed to have had any operational service before being shipped to India. Having languished some where in India it was finally brought back to the UK. Registered G-CDLI on 31Mar05 it is on long term restoration back to flying condition. It came back with D5649 which is now on static display at Duxford.
