Tried to amend my carnivorous habit
Made it nearly 70 days
Losing weight without speed, eating sunflower seeds
Drinking lots of carrot juice and soaking up rays
But at night I'd have these wonderful dreams
Some kind of sensuous treat
Not zucchini fettucini or bulgur wheat
But a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat
Cheeseburger in paradise
Heaven on Earth with an onion slice
Not too particular, not too precise
I'm just a cheeseburger in paradise
Heard about the oldtime sailor men
They'd eat the same thing again and again
Warm beer and bread, they said could raise the dead
Well, it reminds me of the menu at a Holiday Inn
But times have changed for sailors these days
When I'm in port, I get what I need
Not just havanas or bananas or daiquiris
But that American creation on which I feed
Cheeseburger in paradise
Medium-rare with mustard'd be nice
Heaven on Earth with an onion slice
I'm just a cheeseburger in paradise
I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer
Well, good God almighty which way do I steer
For my
Cheeseburger in paradise
Making the best of every virtue and vice
Worth every damn bit of sacrifice
To get a cheeseburger in paradise
Get me a cheeseburger in paradise
I'm just a cheeseburger in paradise
I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer
Well, good God almighty which way do I steer?

5 things about me
- i put honey on almost everything

- i hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee veggies
- i guess i'm hungry since everything i metioned is about food... haha
my first "really proud" moment was with this photo.
So how did you all spend your Wednesday night? I was dying my hair red....blonde wasn't just doing it for me anymore. I think my bangs need a trim too.
I was thinking of using some pesto and dying it green......but I didn't want people to think I was weird.
PS - I know I have had some wacky shots before but I seriously asked myself about 10 times tonight, "What the f#ck are you doing with your life?" Guess that makes me a true FGRer now.
Tangled kelp washed up at Island bay shot at dawn. It seemed to be delicately spun like a plate of fettucini. Hope you like the contrasting colours. Not an HDR shot, I shone my torch onto the kelp to add some light.

This is the ninth entry for my 52 weeks project here on Flickr.
The Great Fettucini was very excited to meet Marco. He had seen his levitation shot and wanted to be taught in the art of levitation so that his true greatness would not only be reflected by his name. It wasn’t until Marco took his uncomfortable position upon a pair of sawing trestles before the Great Fettucini realized that the true magic lies within Photoshop…
Again, not a flawless composition by any means. But this time I took my own advice (and listened to my friend Patrick) and slept 2 nights before I finally re-edited and uploaded this picture. And that's why it is exactly the way I imagined it. Hope you like it.
*edit*
Flickr sharpening does wonders for this shot... NOT! Looks a tad better in large though.

Sorry for appearing in your contact uploads again, but I had to replace this image with a slightly enhanced version where the elements don't look so seperated. For all those of you who already have seen and commented this picture: Thank you very much! You probably won't notice the difference. For all the rest: enjoy this enhanced version :-)

Pan seared scallops & shrimp, fettucini, narragansett creamery ricotta, torn basil, spicy arrabiatta sauce
We stopped for food at Morro Bay just hoping to find a clam chowder, but we ended up finding this gem.
This is the dish Shirley ordered - Fettucini with Shrimp and Calamari. The calamari was soooo tender and fresh to our surprise, and they even used fresh tomato in the sauce to our surprise. It was amazingly good!

This is a food landscape I created for "Get Pushed" round 16 as sort of a 'vice versa' challenge with push partner Mimo. When she issued my challenge for a levitation selfie, she mentioned that it was something she'd been wanting to do herself so we made a deal to each do our own challenge - the one we gave in addition to the one we received. If you haven't met Mimo yet, I recommend going over for a visit. Her work is special in that she makes quality and poignant photographs of the world around her, wherever she may travel. Her commentary is touching, and educational in a journalistic style. I'm pleased to have had the chance to work with Mimo again in 'Get Pushed'
About this image: The challenge was to create an image inspired by the well known food landscape photographer Carl Warner. He creates his scenes entirely out of food items and comprises his images out of layer composites in post processing. This is one shot however, of a set that I crafted with full intentions to add more in photoshop but I was happy with it as it turned out, even though I've not come close to the amazing work Carl Warner does.

The first photo of many to come! This is the tallest fountain in Villa d'Este taken in Tivoli on the last day of our visit to Rome. It's a wonderful place, with over 500 fountains surrounded by beautiful gardens. Delicous fettucini in a restaurant nearby :) ... and also octopus...
Tivoli is a really sweet place! With great panoramic views from the hill where it is situated, fountains and the usual little Italian streets, it's a great place to visit if you are visiting Rome! Just 30 km from Roma...
Soon there'll be more photos from Italy... ;)
Spur of the moment dinner. Stopped by the market, bought 1 lb of cleaned and deviened Argentine Red shrimp and a package of fettucini noodles.
1/2 a stick of unsalted butter, 1/3 cup olive oil (the good stuff from the pantry) sage, rosemary and oregano picked fresh from the garden poached for a couple minutes then removed and discarded, sauted just long enough to perfume the fats. 6 cloves of garlic briefely sauted then added 1 cup of pinot grigio white wine. I simmered and let it reduce by around half. Pasta (2 sevings of 100 grams each) went into salted boiling water for 13 minutes. At 5 minutes left on the pasta, shrimp was added to the poaching liquid and cooked for around 3 1/2 minutes, just long enough to turn the bottoms pink, then flipped for the last 1 1/2 minutes the pasta cooked. At time 13 the pasta was added to the shrimp, the heat was turned up, and 1/2 cup of pasta water was added to the mix. Everything was cooked together for the last little bit until the pasta was cooked to my liking and the shrimp were perfectly cooked.
Plated and garnished with fresh parsely from the garden, the dish was ready.
Delicious. Total time from beginng to plate less than 25 minutes
My second HDR shot: Kelly's Landing, in Manotick, Ontario.
Still learning the HDR thing. Not as good as most people's yet. Fun though!
This is the view from Kelly's Landing, a real boat landing just behind Kelly's Landing Restaurant, which is one of the finest restaurants in the Ottawa Valley (including inside Ottawa itself)... and being this is a diplomatic town with lots of poeple who pass through or travel from, and influxes of French (Montreal) and Vietnamese (Boat refugees from the 70s) plus a lot of native Irish, Scots, Italian, that's really saying something as Ottawa is blessed with some of the best restaurants on the planet (for some reason Ottawa has also been on a New Orleans and Mexican restaurant kick for about 10 years now, although Thai has become really popular recently... and "Fusion Japanese-Canadian").
Kelly's Landing restaurant is owned and run by Tony (who is Italian, not Irish, though he's married to an Irish Lass). For those that live in Ottawa, Tony used to the chef at Big Daddy's and the Lonestar Restaurant (New Orleans and Mexican restaurants. Quel suprise!) which are owned by the same owner. He left there to start his own restaurant a few years ago. If you're a Big Daddy's fan (and I was) he also took the menu with him, so if you remember about 5 years when the Big Daddy's restaurants changed their menu, Tony is the reason. They were copyright by him as they were family recipees. Among the many items that Tony left with are his famous Bananas Foster, and the best pasta dish on the planet, the Bourbon Street Fettucini. If you go to Kelly's and are very nice, Tony is more than happy to make them on special order. Otherwise you can choose from the regular and special menus which include things like cedar plank salmon, cajun catfish and chicken boxtie (sorry Tony, it's really a crepe but only the real Irish would want boxties anyway).
Kelly's Landing is popular not only for its amazing food, but also for its deck which stetches out nearly to the water front. The deck is just visible in this photo to the right behind the gas sign (it's a boat landing so they also sell gas :-). In the summer it makes one of the most beautiful places in all of Canada to sit and eat. I just wish I could have done the view justice in this shot!
This one is dedicated to Dave (The Haligonian) who introduced me to HDR and who badgered me yesterday and all evening today to get off my butt and post something.
Thanks Dave!

my first trial in food photography....and usually for food photography, restaurants tend to use "plastic" food.. but in this restaurant, they cooked it right before you shoot it... and I gotta say... it's hard! but this tasted soooo good... if you guys come to Bandung, you should come to Kampung Daun for pasta.. yum yum...
this one is their Fettucini Alfredo. Too bad we didn't ended up eating this one coz while I was shooting this, lots of friendly flies come passing by.. After the photo session, the owner delivered some delicious pizza to my house.. aren't they sweet? =)
=)
