Having the privilege of being part of the 10th annual Hoboken International Film Festival, I met & photographed many of the lovely & talented stars of television & the big screen including Sally Kirkland.
I took this race car photo at the Smithsonian's Folklife Festival in Washington, DC today. This car was at the Northern Ireland exhibit.
Is it art? Or, is it an attack from Mars?
So what is this? It's a large sculpture that was in the middle of a huge music festival called Coachella in the desert in Indio, CA. The artist is Michael Christian and he calls it... I.T.

Het Bello Festival van de Museumstoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik 2023 plaats onder het motto ‘The Roaring Twenties bij Spoor & Tram’. Voor deze gelegenheid kwam een collectie historische voertuigen, rollenspelers en andere historische objecten vanuit het hele land samen, die samen een tijdsbeeld bij de lokaalspoor- en tramwegen in ons land in de jaren 1920 lietten zien. Op de foto komt locomotief 8107 van de Museum Buurtspoorweg met een gemengde tram aan in Opperdoes. De locomotief is in 1921 gebouwd door de Machinefabriek Breda, voorheen Backer & Rueb.
The theme of the Museum Steam Tram Hoorn-Medemblik's annual Bello Festival in 2023 was 'The Roaring Twenties at Spoor & Tram'. For this occasion, a collection of historical vehicles, role-players and historical objects came together from all over the country, which together displayed a period view of the local railways and tramways in The Netherlands in the 1920s. In the picture, locomotive 8107 of the Museum Buurtspoorweg arrives with a mixed tram in Opperdoes. The locomotive was built in 1921 by Machinefabriek Breda, voorheen (formerly) Backer & Rueb.

The Songkran festival is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year's Day from 13 to 15 April. It coincides with the New Year of many calendars of South and Southeast Asia. The festive occasion is in keeping with the Buddhist/Hindu solar calendar.
Songkran is also known as the water festival as people would go out on streets for water fight. This is very logical as April is usually one of the hottest month in Thailand.

It's autumn and harvest festival time, the fruit and veg are being gathered up and it's a time when you'd take some to school and display in the hall before the food was given away to the local pensioners. Well that's what happened in my infant and junior schools anyway.

Le lendemain, invité par le Maire, certains cannois sont en attente de gravir le tapis rouge pour y voir le film qui a obtenu la veille la Palme d'Or, film d'Audiard.
(On a eu la chance d'y être aussi invité par un couple d'amis australiens ... top de top que de vivre cette ambiance sommes toutes désuètes)

The next day, invited by the Mayor, some Cannes are waiting to climb the red carpet to see the film that won the day before the Palme d'Or, Audiard film.
(We also had the chance to be instructed to do so by a couple of Australian friends ... top top than to live this atmosphere are all outdated)

Balloon Festival Hamilton NZ
Balloons over Waikato is New Zealand's premier hot air balloon festival. Held annually, in Hamilton, this five-day iconic event is arguably the most popular event in the city. It attracts balloonists from all over New Zealand and around the world, who come to experience the fun, friendship and warmth this balloon friendly city provides and to demonstrate their skills in a range of competitive activities. Over 130,000 spectators over 5 days will enjoy the amazing site of balloons ascending through the Waikato sunrise at 7.30am every morning
The balloons will be flying each morning of the event from Innes Common. This is a wonderful opportunity to get up close to the balloons and watch the teams in action as they prepare the balloons for flight. There is nothing more majestic than watching the balloons leave the ground and soar across the City.
