Ferragosto was on 15 August. It is - let's say - an important holiday in Italy. Around Ferragosto, all the Italians are lying around on the beaches with their families, you might think. Here on the Italian riviera,
Uno dei lati positivi di esser uno Zombie è il fatto di non avere feste "comandate", ricordo, cari miei, le angoscianti nonchè tristi giornate a cercare di "divertirsi", di dare un senso alla festa di precetto!
Il chiasso, la confusione, i preparativi infiniti, le lasagne al mare, il barbecue che qualche deficente non si scordava mai, le litigate per il posto buono, le litigate per chi ritarda sempre e non si sa il perche', i bambini che litigano, fanno litigare i grandi e rompono piu' del solito, le mamme che cicalecciano e si parlano dietro a due metri di distanza, il sudore delle partite interminabili a pallavolo, le guerre per chi paga il gelato, le lotte per chi non ha pagato la quota per il pranzo, le lotte per stappare le bottiglie di vino senza cavatappi e far sentire una merda chi non l'ha portato, le magliette sudate appiccicate sulla pelle mista a salsedine.
Lo so non è tutto ma dall'alto del mio mondo precario questo mi ricordo e mi ricordo pure di augurarvi buon ferragosto e non v'incazzate troppo....un giorno passa presto.....
dall'alto vi osservo e mi ammazzo dalle risate!

Lungo il cammino che da Riva di Tures conduce allo Stuttennock (2.737 m) si incontra il terzo dei tre laghi di Covolo (Koflerseen) con una splendida vista sul gruppo delle Vedrette di Ries (Riesenferner).
_3003375C ferragosto è un pò come il natale, per tanta gente rappresenta l'inizio di una nuova stagione o la fine della vecchia, è comunque una pausa anche per chi come i contadini non si ferma mai, tipo Dimitri per capirci... Auguri a tutti!

Legend has it that the ancestor of Ferragosto as we understand it today is to be found in the Roman period. To be precise, around 18 BC. in the Feriae Augusti, the moment in which the farmers took a break after working in the fields in honor of the emperor Octavian Augustus. The anniversary fell in the first days of August, but the celebrations often continued until the end of the month.In the 7th century the Catholic Church decided to celebrate the assumption of Mary on August 15th. In fact, it is no coincidence that processions in honor of the Madonna take place in many regions of Italy. As regards trips out of town, the tradition was born during the twenty years of fascism: trains were organized at advantageous prices to allow poor people to have a change of scenery and see the sea or the mountains for the first time in their lives. In this context, the custom of the "packed lunch" was also born, that is, a frugal meal brought from home.
