Union Pacific FEF-3 No. 844 and newly restored Big Boy No. 4014 take part in the Spike 150 Celebration in Ogden, UT. The two locomotives were parked face-to-face, recreating that historic moment when the Union Pacific's locomotive No. 119 and the Central Pacific's locomotive "Jupiter" came together face-to-face at Promontory Summit, completing the first Transcontinental Railroad 150 years ago.
First Aberdeen operated Wright StreetLite DF SN14 FEF - 63207 - is pictured on King Street with a service on route 23 towards Sheddocksley.
This vehicle wears the First Bus Olympia livery with some elements of the Thistle Line 3 still remaining so it's not a tick in the allocation box although the route branding on these Lites doesn't really mean much nowadays nor is it really fully present on any of the ones that retain it. All the metal Wright logo elements are missing from the front of this bus.

A propos Les passagers du Zinc
Il y a 20 ans, Féfé se faisait connaitre grâce au succès fulgurant du single « Angela » au sein du mythique « Saïan Supa Crew », ce groupe solaire, percutant et aussi hétéroclite qu’inventif. Après leur séparation en 2008, il publie son premier album solo « Jeune à la retraite » certifié disque d’or et retrouve alors la scène, celle des Passagers se souvient encore de son passage en 2010. S’en suit 3 albums et l’occasion de le redécouvrir en live avec des prestations scéniques toujours mémorables sur un répertoire mêlant soul, rap et chanson. Aujourd’hui, Féfé à rejoins le label Chapter Two Records pour un 4e album en préparation qui s’annonce déjà être le plus inspiré de sa carrière. Sortie prévue début 2024… Féfé vous attend de pied ferme !

This is a fan-made cad drawing, free for download, of a Union Pacific FEF-3 Northern (4-8-4) steam locomotive, the same class as the UP #844 I visited this last weekend. I can't say as to it's absolute accuracy, but it "looks" right when I compare it to actual photos (I don't have access to photoshop or anything similar right now so I can't do a direct photo-on-photo comparison).
Assuming BBB XL Drivers are used, and assuming four BBB XL Drivers are 20 studs in length (I consider 4 large drivers to be 16 studs in length) then this scaled out drawing should be accurate. Total length is 80 studs.
Of course if I call the four XL drivers something longer, like 22 studs, then the total length would increase to probably 88 studs. The length of 22 comes from using the distance between the XL driver's axles - 6 studs from axle to axle, extrapolated down the length of the four pairs. The above 20 studs long uses the diameter of the XL drivers - 5 studs.

De stad staat vol met kunst, van wereldvermaarde kunstenaars tot anonieme beeldhouwers. Wat zijn de verhalen achter deze beelden? Vandaag: The Mask.

Vanwege de hoorntjes dachten mensen dat dit werk met de duivel te maken had.
In de zomer van 2012 was ze op een hoog-werker aan het werk op de hoek van de Geschutswerf en de Hoogte Kadijk op de Oostelijke Eilanden - grote vlakken ontstonden op de grauwe zijkant van het pand van Liander: zwart, dieprood en wit.
Er kwamen hoorn-tjes bij, ogen en veren. De buurtbewoners volgden de voortgang van dit graffitiwerk met argusogen: wat was dit? Mocht dit allemaal zomaar? Maar de muurschildering van de Braziliaans-Mexicaanse graffitikunstenaar Fefe Talavera (38) bleek here tot stay.
Het werk wordt onderhouden door Liander, en ook tags worden verwijderd, vertelt Anouk Piket (42), initiatiefnemer van RUA (Reflexo on Urban Art), een internationaal platform voor straatkunstenaars.
De groene tweekoppige rups die er een paar jaar geleden onder verscheen - kennelijk een niet-gefiatteerd antwoord op The Mask - is eveneens weggehaald.
Murales
Piket had lang in Brazilië gewoond en er gewerkt met jongeren met veel talent voor graffiti. Kunst in de openbare ruimte is in Brazilië heel groot - je ziet er vooral veel murales: muurschilderingen zoals die van Talavera.
Het leek Piket leuk kunstenaars naar Nederland te halen. In 2004 gebeurde dat voor het eerst kleinschalig, in 2009 heel groot in Rotterdam, waar alles toen in het teken stond van Brazil Contemporary Art.
Fefe Talavera was in 2012 een van de zeven kunstenaars uit Brazilië die daarna in Amsterdam aan de slag mochten. Ze is afgestudeerd aan kunstacademie FAAP in São Paulo. Om haar werk te kunnen exposeren in galeries en musea had ze zichzelf te veel beperkingen moeten opleggen; vandaar dat ze voor de straat had gekozen om zich uit te drukken.
Talavera ziet haar murales, vaak van monsters, als metaforen voor sterke, onbewuste mense-lijke emoties als woede, angst, dromen en verlangen, en laat zich beïnvloeden door haar Mexicaanse achtergrond: de Maya's en Az-teken. Die tribale achtergrond zien we terug in The Mask: twee Indianen die dierenmaskers dragen.
Feminist
Piket heeft Talavera destijds geselecteerd omdat ze een van de weinige vrouwen in de streetart was die in dit grote formaat schilderen. Ook heeft ze een stevige mening, als feminist in de goeddeels mannelijke graffitiscene.
"In 2012 was het best bijzonder, zo'n vrouw in een hoogwerker. En spannend: hoe zullen bewoners reageren? Zeker met Fefe, omdat veel mensen vanwege die hoorntjes dachten dat haar werk met de duivel te maken had. Buurtbewoners waren bezorgd of het wel mooi zou worden, maar ze zijn zich aan de werken gaan hechten; op de meeste plaatsen zijn ze nog intact."
