The Canon FTb introduced in 1971 is a great allround camera. It features the Canon FD lens mount, and is also compatible with Canon's earlier FL-mount lenses with stop-down metering.
I love this old SLR warriors, and among my many cameras, this type is often a go-to camera when I’m leaving home for photo shooting. It is often a pick and choose between a FTb, a Spotmatic, a Minolta SR-T or a Nikkormat. They are all members of a exclusive club of sturdy, robust peoples cameras that rarely fail when out in the field. Well taken care of, they seem to last forever.
The lens is the first edition of the FD mount lenses with a chrome breach lock ring and the significant chrome nose front ring. Made 1971-1973. No lens coat specification is showing.
The FTb takes the discontinued 1,3 volt battery (PX625) for the light meter, but I’ve put in a contemporary 1,4 volt hearing aid battery, and that seems to work just fine.

Ende Mai 2023, am 27.05., fand die Bayern-Rundfahrt, unter anderem mit 103 113 zwischen Ludwigsburg und Augsburg Hbf und ab Augsburg Hbf über Reutte in Tirol und zurück, mit 218 446 statt! Am Nachmittag konnte schließlich bei Biessenhofen 218 446 mit dem RC 13405 festgehalten werden.

the FD (ФД20) class of freight locomotives of 2-10-2 (1-4-1 in Russia) class 3100 hp with the axle load 20 t (it is emphasized in the name FD-20) were developed at V.V. Kuybyshev Locomotive Factory in Kolomna, Russian SFSR using experience in the operation of 2-10-4 class steam locomotives of the Ta (Та) and Tb (Тб) types (Texas type) built for the USSR in small series by ALCO and Baldwin to 1931 y. Firstly their high 23 t axle load must be decreased to comply to weaker Russian rail tracks. It was achieved by general optimization of design including more fine-grade casts. The FD class was named after Felix Dzerzhinsky, who led the first two Soviet state-security organizations. They were constructively highly unified to the IS class of passenger steam locomotives of Soviet railways (ИС20, named after Joseph Stalin) that preserved original design 2-8-4 class. Locomotives of the IS and FD series were manufactured between 1931 and 1942 by the October Revolution Locomotive Factory at Voroshilovgrad (Luhansk) in Soviet Ukraine with 649 IS and 3213 FD produced totally. After voluntarist decision of the Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev to cease the steam locomotives production to change them entirely on the diesel locomotives (1956) circa one thousand of the FD were generously given to Communist China were they worked until 1970th.

The Sacramento Fire Department used to run this 1975 Ford C-Series/Seagrave/Clintonville Fire Apparatus (CFA) 100-foot tractor-drawn aerial (TDA) from Station 10 in the Fruitridge area. It replaced a 1941 Pirsch 100-ft TDA (see photo in comments below).
