This location opened in the early 2010s and was originally located here; this store was previously split between three tenants: Advance America Cash Advance, Subway (opened in 1998, relocated here in 2009), and a cleaners.
I was very lucky this shoot even happened. The model that was booked to shoot that day flaked. Luckily, my assistent for the day also models, and she donned some of Hemlock Emporium's fine clothing!

Violett loved the red cap and thought I should call this outfit "Little Red Ridinghood". Okay, whatever you wish for, I'll do *giggle*.
I like her!
I really don't like the outfit she came in, I thought I would - but her lips are too pink to pull off such a neutral outfit.
I like her in this gown much better.

Udělalo se pěkně, tak se naskytla nejlepší příležitost vyzkoušet novou košili. Košili jsem šila podle střihu od Surfinie. Ač jsem z toho měla trochu strach, tak se nakone docela povedla.
Dokonce se mi povedla na chviličku nastavit Adriana tak, že stál i sám.
Nemůžu si prostě pomoct, ale je to opravdu fešák.

Afrika inspireert modeontwerpers al decennialang. Ook in 2012 waren moderne interpretaties van kleurige prints en geometrische vormen op catwalks over de hele wereld te vinden. In zowel Londen als New York werd dit jaar zelfs een African Fashion Week georganiseerd. African fashion is booming. Afrikaanse fashion was daarom natuurlijk onmisbaar op de Afrikadag.
De Afrikadag Fashionshow was een showcase van Afrikaans-Nederlandse modeontwerpers die zich geïnspireerd voelen door de visuele rijkheid van Afrika. Hun modellen presenteerden hun moderne, geraffineerde ontwerpen op onze catwalk, waarna een jury van professionals uit de mode-industrie hun werk beoordeelde. De gelukkige winnaar, Arriz Golden, mocht zijn ontwerpen presenteren in de webshop Lady Africa, werd beloond met een artikel in Africa Magazine ZAM en ontving een cheque, aangeboden door Patricia Linhard!
Africa inspires fashion designers all over the world. Modern interpretations of colourful prints and geometric patterns could be found on high fashion catwalks all over the world in 2012. In London and New York fashion by African designers even got their own high profile African Fashion Week. All the more reason why we had to have our own fashion show on the Africaday!
The Africaday Fashion Show showcased the designs of African-Dutch designers who have been inspired by the rich visual traditions of Africa. Each one of them has her own unique take on African fashion. Models took to the runway dressed in their sophisticated, fashion forward designs and a panel of judges from the fashion industry judged the designs. The lucky winner of the Africaday Fashion Show, Arriz Golden, presented his designs in web shop Lady Africa, featured in an article in Africa Magazine ZAM and received a cheque from Patricia Linhard!

Al jaren groeit de interesse in ons land voor Japan en haar cultuur. Echter wordt er in de meeste gevallen alleen aandacht geschonken aan animatie, games en cosplay, terwijl een van de grootste aspecten ondergeschoven wordt: Fashion.
OshareCon is de conventie die voornamelijk aandacht geeft aan de mode van Japan. Van Gyaru tot Shironuri, Decora tot Visual-kei. Wij willen de mensen die hier interesse in hebben ook een eigen podium geven! OshareCon speelt in op de vraag naar een festival meer gericht op kleding, make up en lifestyle. Uiteraard zijn otaku’s en cosplayers meer dan welkom. Wij zijn er voor iedereen die van de Japanse cultuur houdt en er meer over te weten wil komen. Tijdens het event zullen lectures, workshops en uiteraard modeshows plaats vinden, en is er natuurlijk ruimte om gewoon me elkaar te socializen en nieuwe mensen te leren kennen. Oshare, een woord dat vaak in Japan gebruikt wordt om aan te duiden dat je er super tof of über kawaii uit ziet! Dus OshareCon is de conventie voor iedereen die van Japanese fashion houdt!
