I shot this originally for Project 52 Pro Assignment 2
This is definitely a fashion shot, but I liked it. The inspiration piece is lit with much harder light. I think this is more my style. I also didn't go as far with post, although, again, the contrast may be due to printing. However, I now wish I had used the Maxi Lite and shot it that way.
I know Zack Arias said not to bother shooting fashion unless you are in NY or Paris or maybe seasonally in Miami (which is down the road a bit) but I just liked the image. ;)
Strobst: Key is a B800 im a large octa, camera right, f/4. Fill from camera left from a large softbox, f/2.

I had an idea to shoot fashion portrait for a long time. I was looking for a right model for the shoot and Lena was a perfect girl for this job. We had such great chemistry and she understood very well what I expected and wanted to do with this shoot.

Wow, have I ever been half-assed about posting pics as of late...I'm not much on new year's resolutions, but I will make one: Post more pics on Flickr in 2012.
I've actually been doing quite a few shoots as of late, including this one, an out-take from an upcoming editorial.

Recently I ventured myself into Fashion Photography. And I must say, its pretty addictive. Not for the output though, as the output really sucks.. But to the whole process... of waiting.. interacting with other photogs.. the uncertainties... all the things that are out of your control.. I normally planned everything for my photo shoot.. so this is totally out of the norm.. and its scary.. and exciting at the same time.
