FASCINATING JOURNEY

I do not know where this is, but I love it!!

The Male magnificent is a gorgeous species and particularly beautiful when the sun hits his head feathers and throat feathers. His coloring is just breathtaking but it is not seen unless the sun rays are on these areas. Taken on our last trip to Costa Rica. I find them fascinating and a lovely challenge to show their beauty off at the best angle. He definitely was sitting pretty for us and it was exciting to see him showing off his coat of many colors.

Many thanks for your encouraging comments and I wish you all an awesome and blessed day !!!!!!!!

We had fascinating conditions for night photography in Bodie on Saturday night..There were fast-moving clouds and Milky Way early on, then snow showers and moving clouds with airglow later. The snow never stuck to the ground, but it was an interesting addition to some of the photos!

Fortunately it was cold enough that for the most part, the snow wasn't sticking to our lenses.

I find the detail in nature fascinating!

While walking through the gardens, I was interested to see a photographer, equipped with tripod and camera, spending quite a bit of time getting a certain shot just right. After he packed up and left, I stepped in and took a photo of the specimen also.

I have posted a number of images of old locomotives suffering from decades of neglect, but I still find the decay of the paint and metal fascinating and colorful. Given enough time, this 100-ton monster will be a big pile of iron-rich debris. In the meantime, there is some beauty in decay. (Says the geezer).

Always been fascinated by the moon and stars... :D

fascinating nature.. Macro 2x Laowa 65mm f2.8 at f11 adapted on Fuji X.

This smiley face that one of my children drew with sidewalk chalk on our driveway caught my attention. I saw a mixture of happy and sad. Happy in the smiling face and sad that a crack in the concrete cut through the side of the smiling face. This was captivating to me and seemed to tell a story I could relate to—that I often experience multiple feelings that seem to be opposite one another yet both valid. It was so fascinating to me that one of my children’s sidewalk chalk drawings brought up these thoughts.

Spend 4 nights photographing the Milky Way against a wide variety of fascinating rock formations,...

A fascinating village. A history board in the parking area shows what each of the buildings has been in its past, real butcher, baker and candle stick maker type rolls. The buildings were all designed by John Lessels, one of those all round guys who started life as a carpenter and ended it as an architect/artist/photographer - president of the Edinburgh Photographic Society. Bear in mind that he died on 1883, so the photographic society would have been somewhat different to any in existence today. Eee, when cameras were cameras.

I saw you at the opening of Fingers and Ariel's expo.. I do not know your name.. but could not resist the pic, your ava totally inspired me. Hope you like it ;)

YAYY you are Del.. thanks for having such a great ava Del ;))

Phae Mueang Phi Forest Park is a beautiful natural attraction in Phrae Province of Thailand. Known for its unique rock formations, the park offers visitors the chance to explore a fascinating landscape steeped in cultural and geological significance. The name Phae Mueang Phi translates to City of Ghosts in Thai, reflecting the mystical atmosphere and eerie appearance of the park's rock formations. Also called hoodoos, these rock formations are the result of millions of years of erosion, leaving towering rock pillars that resemble ancient ruins or stone cities. The area has been inhabited by ethnic communities for centuries and remnants of ancient civilizations, such as ancient cave paintings, can be found in the park. These historical artifacts provide insight into the region's rich cultural heritage. The park is particularly beautiful during sunrise and sunset when the golden light illuminates the rocks and creates a magical atmosphere. There are beautiful viewpoints in the park and information boards with educational information about the geology, flora and fauna. The environment is serene and peaceful.

Phae Mueang Phi is a place of original rock formations in the Phi Pan Nam Range, Thailand. It is located about eight kilometers northeast of the city of Phrae in Phrae Province. The orange-brown area is full of many strange rock formations mushroom and anthill; depending on your imagination that were created more than two million years ago by eroded dirt and sandstone. You can walk to the viewpoint to see a panoramic view of the site and the surrounding green forest. Lots of nice spots to take pictures. However, I recommend that you visit the place in the morning to avoid the midday heat and don't forget to apply sunscreen.

This fascinating tropical grennery is just in the back of this place. In the underground has the garege's floors. It's a bit scary, because is very tall. And very impressive too! I feel myself so small... That stairs can be used only for the employees who make the maintenance of the place. Downtown, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I find these fascinating..:)

He hates when this happens, and so do I.

I found the amazing natural ice art I hoped for yesterday, at a dam and at a waterfall after some driving. This one isn't a good photo, but this little tree still was one of the most amazing things I found encapsulated.

My album of ice and snow here.

Went up to the Downs this morning to meet a man about a Monkey. I learnt more about the Monkey Orchid in 40 minutes than I have over the past 20 years. A monkey Orchid undergoing detailed time lapse analysis of flower opening compared over time and with Man and Lady Orchids and research into pollinating species and strategies all of which will help in the conservation of this beautiful, rare and endangered wild British orchid, fascinating.

I'm obsessed with clouds lately and how they take shape and move. This was taken on the plane ride home from Ottawa.
