These once conjoined remnants of dark blue millennium ice appear to be saying farewell as Greenland's high arctic summer is hastening their disappearance.
** Since 2017 I have posted three other shots of the iconic Motif Number 1 in Rockport . This image will be the end of the series, the shot coincidently was taken on the final day of our trip to New England . We had visited Rockport at the beginning of the trip and liked it so much we stopped there for a couple of hours on our way back to Boston Airport .

Somewhere nature has already met spring, and is gradually being painted with bright colors. We still have snow, but the feeling of spring is almost palpable. With this colorful shot I complete my winter series. I hope spring will be no less full of adventures than the outgoing winter...
Gosh, I've spent so many hours on this deck looking at this view. I love this place so much and have always said this was my forever home but it's time for a new chapter.

I was in Cuba literally days after Fidel Castro died and the country was still officially in mourning. It was hard to get what the Cuban people really thought of Fidel - there was evidently a great fear of speaking freely but then in a place where the government monitors who stays where each night, including at the B and Bs, they had no idea who they were really talking to I suppose. But there was no doubt some genuine grief among many.
This shot was taken at Trinidad bus station during this period. A time in history where Cuba was genuinely on a cusp.

And farewell to the decade in which I got bitten by the photography bug - it's been 5 years since I bought my first 'proper' camera and began to see the world around me very differently.
The friendship, support and inspiration that I have found here on Flickr has been one of the the most important factors in keeping me motivated to continue photographing and improving.
Although my mojo has taken a bit of a battering over the past three months, and I apologise for not being the best of Flickr friends during this time, taking a peep at the wonderful work I've missed has always encouraged me to pick up my camera and have another go.
So a huge thank you to all of you and wishing everyone the very best of health, happiness and creativity in the New Year and decade ahead.

Farewell of Slavianka is a beautiful monument erected in 2014 at the entrance of Belorussian Railway Station, Moscow to commemorate 100 years anniversary of WWI (1914-1918). It is dedicated to Russian women bidding farewell to their going to war husbands.

This is a farewell to my beloved 5D mark 2 and Canon 16-35mm f2.8L as now they swim with the fishes in some far off never never land. OH how I will miss you my dear friend......Moment of Silence.... :-(
