Hot off the slide scanner and editor. It may be hard for people to believe, but admission for my early visits to the Historic Auto Races at Laguna Seca cost less than a month of California rent. At the time. This Cadillac is pre-dented with welding through-and-through.
The text on this Cadillac's windshield included a redacted-by-me Orange County, California phone number and read something like this:

Red Hot Poker — Kniphofia (/nɪpˈhoʊfiə/, /nɪˈfoʊfiə/) — a genus of perennial flowering plants in the family Asphodelaceae, first described as a genus in 1794
It's a hardy, evergreen, herbaceous perennial with long, strap-like leaves and distinctive flower spikes.
The beautiful flower spikes are borne on tall stems, with buds typically starting as orange and then opening into yellow flowers.
Habitat:
It's commonly found in marshes, streambanks, and mountain grasslands.
Cultivation:
It thrives in full sun with ample water during the growing season and prefers fertile, well-draining soil.
Uses:
Besides being a popular garden plant, the rootstock of some Kniphofia species, like Kniphofia rooperi, has been traditionally used as a good luck charm and in traditional healing for chest complaints.
