I've been falling for the last three months, falling slowly and beautifully into deep pools of memory. I didn't realise when I posed for this long exposure that I'd get so wet , as I hadn't checked first. I realised I was getting very wet, but had to lie there for 30 or so seconds. After a time it turned from cold to really refreshing :))) Fall fall fall is by Razorlight .

The trees along the lake are merrily dropping their leaves on a gusty fall afternoon.

Short version: Stayed out for hours (Friday) awaiting sunny moments... and then the glow came ☺

Hello dear friends!!!

Got lucky again :-)

We've had a lot of wet & grey days this Fall (Autumn), but if you stick around long enough, the beautiful sunlight will shine through :-)

I spent the morning riding / walking around, experienced a few showers and also a lot of spiky chestnuts falling from the trees (had my bike helmet on though!)

Was hoping for perfectly still water, but the wind continually blew and produced minor ripples on the canal (which ended up working out okay, the reflections have a 'painted-on' feel to them).

Between the grey & cloudy skies, light rain, falling chestnuts and early sunset, I felt lucky to finally get some decent shots by the afternoon.

This wasn't the shot I was planning for (not complaining) but I'm running out of time this season.

As you can see from the pic, many of the trees on one side of the canal have already lost a lot of leaves, and I think they'll be bare by next week.

Tomorrow and the following days are supposed to be completely grey with rain, so I was happy to get out there before the last leaf fell ;-)

I will say I was pleasantly surprised by this delightful afternoon glow (as I usually go for the morning moods).

Looking at the photo, you'll see the sky is mostly covered with clouds, and I got lucky when a little blue began to show.

That's when a gorgeous glow brightened the leaves (not only on the trees but also on the wet, green grass).

So I ran down the bank and planted myself on the rocks... twisting, turning, crouching, doing what I love :-)

(no, I didn't fall in, but I did slip twice!)

It was fun !

Photography is often an adventure for me :-)

As always, I hope you find something interesting or enjoyable here...

Have a wonderful day my friends!

Happy Moose Monday. A good size bull moose down by the river in the fall. The light was low and coming almost directly at the camera making the exposure on the moose a bit difficult, but it made the willow trees really glow. Hope you like it. Bridalveil Fall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley in California. The waterfall is 188 metres (617 ft) in height and flows year round.

Unfortunately at the time of the visit in October, the Yosemite Falls were bone dry.

Another visit to Cliff Gilker Park delivers a few Autumn shots. This one has the smallest waterfalls hiding above some rocks that are covered in Fall colors. While their surface reveals the season, one side is somewhat yellow and the other, colored in green.

On this day in 1925, Tennessee became the first state to outlaw teaching evolution in the public schools, setting the stage for the "Scopes Monkey Trials." It almost feels familiar. I'm unclear why my mind found this shot from last fall to illustrate the commentary.

Rain continues to fall but yesterday we had a brief break in the clouds and I couldn't resist slipping out with my camera for a bit of sunshine of the flower variety.

This is Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf on the Afon Nedd Fechan in the southern part of the Brecon Beacons, Wales. I was lucky enough to be able to pay a return visit at my favourite time of year - early Autumn - when the leaves are beginning to change colour and fall into the river, sometimes collecting on the rocks.

This is one of my very favourite places, and hopefully this shows why.

As a footnote, this was taken 8 days ago when the river levels were low, and conditions quite benign. It is very different this weekend as a lot of rain continues to fall on this area, and the rivers are now combining to threaten the villages downstream from here with serious flooding.

Went to Mountain Tsukuba today with my friends to watch fall foliage. The weather was very pleasing today, with bright sun and perfect temperature. Had a good time there!

Hope you all have a great weekend too! ^-^
