I love these feathery, colorful eyelashes! They were so much fun to wear, though perhaps not the most comfortable accessory ever.

the faerie girls' dresses were originally black knee-length dresses. they were used for another music video for zach glifianakis, but got utterly transformed for the switch. a mixture of water and bleach and a treatment of exactly 30 seconds created the spider-webby and deteriorated look of their dresses.

Every year, on the first sunny day after the first rain of the season, a ritual occurs throughout the bay area...

 

We call it the Launch of the Faeries... it is actually subterranean termite alates, launching from their nests in countless thousands, overwhelming the predators and ensuring that some survive to proceed with the next generation.

A lovely pool in the faerie village, with the cobbled path leading to it.
