An absolute stunner of a barn that I have been meaning to photograph for years, and finally noticed that it was starting to fall apart. Knew I didn't have much time left; each winter might be its last here in SW Michigan where the lake-effect snow is quite often wet, heavy and measured in feet.
Beautiful structurally, yet evidently there used to be a larger section attached to the back, essentially a whole other barn. The owner also told me that a few years back a young couple had their wedding photos taken here.
Unfortunately the clouds had just hidden the sun but I've been invited back, and that is when I'd like to get the east, or right, side that is even more picturesque...
I hate the wrist position, was more a test of camera angle and blending. Also, if anyone knows where I can find some really nice, HD BoM body and face freckles, I'll be your best friend.

The fading light was challenging, but the noise / grain is okay. My TZ100 is a good friend to have in my pocket or to hand.
A typical spring morning in Byron, finds this Canadian National southbound rolling through the small community that sits atop of Byron Hill, with a fast fading Wisconsin Central SD45 doing the honors.

First you look so strong
Then you fade away
The sun will blind my eyes
I love you anyway.......
The sun is near to setting. The Owl awakens... waiting for darkness and hunting time.

Long exposure time and light hand movement when swinging my camera, sometimes please me the most when using ICM technique. My camera then paints a ghost picture that seems to fade out of sight. Just like looking at the landscape through tears or raindrops.
