If ever a DJ block needed to be buried in the dirt and forgotten about, this is it. The circles didn't turn out very smooth. I have NO IDEA how to make the melons look good. I used regular applique on the melons and didn't have the right color of thread. I didn't really get how to make sure the melons were lined up in the right place, so I just eyeballed it. Mistake! They weren't in close enough so the block had to be cut too large.
If this were Project Quiltway, Tim Gunn would rightly proclaim this block a hot mess. I'm going to ear mark it for replacement, but can't even contemplate that right now.
