This is made up from a photo way back in my photo stream of my (hopefully now familiar ) to many cookie jar. I put two layers of the cookie jar shot on Ps then rotated the top layer horizontally then flattened it. I then added a photo of the big wheel from one of my Christmas Market shots which I found I could not upload in light of the devastation and loss of life at the German Christmas market.
I flattened the lot using the over lay mode ‘difference’ but thought it needed a little more pizzaz so I cut out the bottom right hand corner to reveal more of the yellow part of the cookie jar pic using the magnetic lasso to get good straight lines then flattened the lot,,,,,I have been asked by more than one person if we had a good Christmas. The short answer is no...Jonathan only rose from his bed 3 short times over 2 days.. this morning he reports that he feels much better...Phew huge sigh of relief..I just kept myself busy as you can see :)
Before you ask, is this real? Well yes and no, this is a combination of the Waning Gibbious (Light-side) that I took this morning at 3am and the Earthshine (Dark-side) is the Waxing Crescent at the start of the moon's cycle. I used this as I just couldn't get a good long exposure of the dark-side with to much light bleeding over from the light side and a lot of noise. But due to the moons libration the dark-side does not accurately line up to the light-side.
(If anyone knows or has any ideas to getting the perfect earthshine I would love to know, thanks.)

It is faily scary at the beginning to see your LCD screaming "F00"!
I'd have taken more shots but the M3 was playing up and showing F00 (No lens), despite the lens never coming off the camera. Cleaned lens contacts bit no joy but then was OK once I got home.
Sleepy owls yesterday but it was great to watch them. My camera is acting up again..keeps going to F00 and then back to normal. Sigh.
Got a batch of film back from the lab recently.

With poor weather lately I was lucky to get a good shot of the moon. With this image being a stacked image to help bring out more detail in the image. (Dark-side is the First-quarter)

You know, true macro lenses can cost a fortune so i sometimes prefer reversing my 50mm prime lens for macro photography to bypass these costs.

This image was made with the use of 100 frames for the Light-side and 100 frames for the earth-shine. The images were aligned and stacked in photoshop and then blended together to show the entire moon. The colours are a little over saturated to show the mineral composition of the moon. I also flipped this Image to how it is seen in the northern hemisphere compared to what I see in the southern hemisphere.
