Haven't posted a video from my 5DMK2 in a really long time so when I was hanging out with my friend last week making some eggs I decided to take some different shots and see if I could string them together into a cool little short. I think it came out pretty well let me know what you all think.

Photo taken with my HTC Nexus One 5 megapixel camera. I think this phone camera is better quality than the first Kodak digital camera I had.
I'd recommend still using the white rubber nose piece when using this mount. It has great potential for any number of DIY projects.
The Mic In adapter from Drift Innovation turns your proprietary Drift port into a 3.5mm female mic in connection. This allows the use of any third party microphone.
Take your time with soldering and insulating the wires, I had to do this twice because I was in a "hurry"

From start to finish, including mistakes and multiple trips to Radio Shack, this modification took approximatly 3 hours.
Front view of setup ready for external mic to be hooked into the adaptor cord. Even with this setup, you will still have to do somethng to secure the cord. I prefer to use a small rubberband, myself. If you find a mic that has a 90 degree head, you wish to make sure it is a 10 ppin connection to work properly.
elongated hole drilled with a step drill bit and then ground to size with a Dremil Tool. The fit was actually pretty good. Be very careful in drilling the hole for proper placement and not scratching things on the case housing. Be sure to clean the inside well and blow away any shavings before putting your camera in place.
The modified housing, adapted for insertion of the external mic and adaptor. I used my old curved Swann mount in this photo.
The Art March for Democracy was in support of more than a dozen federal services and infrastructure that has been ruined, removed, or hollowed out by #TrumpConvictedFelon and his sock puppet handler who direct his self-centric destruction of democratic process and precedent. The chants and call-and-response listed these programs and services with the tag line, "We Care About ____." This series of video clips from the line of marchers gives a glimpse of the 1 p.m. event on Saturday, 9/20/2025 in downtown Grand Rapids when assembled artists and visitors filled the streets for the annual Art Prize competition.

Elongated hole added. Swann curved mount on bottom of camera. Micover/stickover used on back of camera housing lid.
The hole has to allow the plastic head of the mic adaptor to sit flush and hook in properly to the camera. This takes a bit to do.

On a sunny Saturday early in the afternoon the stained-glass windows stand out from the dimly lit interior. Without calculating the number of theater seats, impressionistically it looks like room for 400 or more at one time. Besides religious gatherings the venue also hosts musical events, too.

The main stage sits on the baseball diamond, so the amplified sound can blast southeasterly to the sloping ground. Bands take turns on the stage until things go dark at 11 p.m. both on Friday (today) and Saturday. See also, www.upheavalfest.com/ including 2025 trailer, youtu.be/NEcuDUOj0ck

The mild weather made the day's events enjoyable for spectators and participants. This series of video clips shows some of the Saturday afternoon take-over of the downtown section of Pearl Street adjacent to the Kendall College of Art and Design, having blocked off one end at Ionia Street and the other at Division Avenue.

Early in the 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. worship service at the Covenant Fine Arts Center on the Calvin University campus in Grand Rapids, this beloved tune from many church hymnals brought young and old together with fresh lyrics that begin, "Tree of Wisdom, fruitful, green..."
Familiar tune in "For the Beauty of the Earth" (hymnary.org/tune/dix_kocher) now set to new words of "Tree of Wisdom, fruitful, green..."

The number of people on stage was about the same as the number in the audience. So the overall effect was a wrap-around, immersive ocean of sound; not just unison, but also some harmonizing voices. The feeling of being in-sync with so many others is very impressive.

At this rambling, many-roomed venue for the 2025 Art Prize on South Division Street the Sunday afternoon was punctuated by this demonstration of the seven Sound Bowls (Tibetan singing bowls), each associated with a particular Chakra, according to the woman presenting them. Afterwards I learned the lowest frequency is 396 Hz and the highest bowl is pitched at 963 Hz. There is no "A 440 Hz" from the Western scale, but one of the bowls is something like 419 Hz.
Due to the warm weather the portable fans were rattling during the video recording: one clip is near the end of the demonstration and the other is at the end with one final deep breath.
