It's like it's not even voluntary anymore. You have worn that grin into your face and now it won't come off...
What does it even mean? What is the emotion you're trying to convey.
Superstardom, clearly.

She thought by making this face it would deter me from taking her picture. What she DIDN'T realize was I look forward to my subjects doing exactly this: expressing themselves!

Happy Monochrome Monday, everyone!
I visited the Yorkshire sculpture park recently mainly to see the major exhibition by the South African artist William Kentridge. It was an excellent show and as a bonus there were two other smaller exhibitions of interest .
This is a shot of the work of renowned ceramicist Felicity Aylieff the show was called for good reason Expressions in Blue
Thrown by hand, the monumental sculptures stand up to five meters high and feature the classic blue and white we associate with Chinese porcelain. The artist gives this a contemporary reinterpretation by using expressive, abstract brushstrokes.
Over the past two decades Aylieff has worked in China, collaborating with expert craftspeople in Jingdezhen, a city known for its high-quality porcelain production for centuries. The close working relationships she has developed there have enabled her to push the limits of her work in this challenging material, significantly increasing its scale.
