This print ad for BMW's "Expression of Joy" campaign appeared in Wired Magazine. I looked at the tire marks, and wondered how they had gotten so much out-tracking, with such clear tire prints. So I had to hunt down the video of the actual "painting" online: Turns out the print ad is apparently fabricated from whole cloth. The real thing has all the smudging and sloppiness one would expect of driving through paint splatters. In the actual result, I couldn't see any clear tire prints (such as shown in the print ad).
this again, must have been a huge expression of civic pride, now sadly neglected and rusting. It is entrance porch and door to an elevator that lifted passengers from the covered walkway to the road. All the way along Madera Drive from the Aquariun to Dukes mound is a covered walkway, constructed so victorian ladies could walk along the promenade without getting wet. This walkway is constructed of cast iron columns and arches, each one carefully decorated with cast figures and the town crest. So the ladies did not have to climb stairs an elevator was provided, it had ornate proches and the lift head has a once pretty building, all with thoughtfully decorated ironwork. Now this area is mostly a haven for drunks and dropouts with the once proud decoraton oblitterated by years of thoughtlessly applied paint and more latterly rust. It seems such a shame that in Brightons rush to be a hip and trendy city it seems to have forgotten its history and heratage by letting places like this and the West Pier rot to oblivion. Feel free to leave comments. Photo taken with Praktica BCA on Foma Action 400, I think developed in T-Max
Although the waves were not that great, the light was near perfect for surf photography. This photo of Andrew Havemann was taken at a spot on the Cape West Coast. It is not often one sees a surfer at this spot surfing in baggies, as the water is normally very cold.

The idea that models do not have to be beautiful to make a photograph worth while of being taken. Also the idea that the model is hiding behind an expression, leading astray her true feelings.

one of the photos I took as part of a recent photoshoot I did for a play called "Spoon River" at my college.
I've missed using borders so I thought i'd use one for this. I think it helps bring out the colours more.
Yet again, another old shot from Darley Park. It's not very often when Laz lets go when i'm taking photos of her, so I cherish them when she does.
