Sometimes it is very difficult to get the real expression of your subject in a portrait shot especially when you have the subject posed for you. He/she will be so aware of the camera and they tend to hide the real self in front of the camera.

In the classic case of portrait shot of Churchill, Karsh intentionally took away the cigar of Churchill. The prime minister was not so pleased about that. His grumpy expression was what Karsh wanted and it is a real expression.

This is not so easy to be replicated by other photographers. That is why we like to shoot candid because those are real expressions that you will not find in posed shots.

We have lots of rain in the weekend. I stayed indoor and was not sure if this will be something called real expression.

"I hold a beast, an angel, and a madman in me, and my enquiry is as to their working, and my problem is their subjugation and victory, down throw and upheaval, and my effort is their self-expression."

This man was standing at Nishad Ghat in Varanasi (Benaras) where he came to bath in the holy waters of the Ganges early in the morning.

We could feel a cool breeze and a few drops of water annoucing the eagerly awaited monsoon…

At the end of the session, the tattooer looked down at my arm and said, "I don't think there's anything more to do. 'It's perfect in every way.' " WHHHHHAT?! YEEEEESSS. He DONE quoted "Mary Poppins."

Today is very special day to me. Now I am a proud owner of DSLR - Sony Alpha A200. I went crazy shooting with it on Sunday. Here I uploaded my most liked from the weekend shoot. Well, this is the first DSLR picture in my photo stream. I am sooo HAPPY about it!!!

Special thanks to Adarsh for guiding me in my first DSLR shoot.

I have been so busy with family business, but I did manage to take this picture, yesterday. I am using this scene in my father's photo slideshow.

Erma and I would like to thank you for your expressions of love.

This is an image relating to the french expression: Pelleter des nuages (To shovel clouds)

It could be translated in english with being airy fairy.

It relates to people who have projects and thoughts or take action into things that are far from reality.
