Strobist info:
The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights CL/CR, fired in Manual mode @ ⅛ power through Neewer 24" soft boxes.
The SB900s were triggered by PocketWizard Plus Xs.
Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar (red MC) f1.8/50mm.
The dancing lights in the sky seemed reach down and into the ground. Everything was lifted included my spirit. This seemed like a world was opening and delivering a fresh new world that was electrically emerging within our world.
These pictures taken with Minolta16mm f2.8 Fisheye lens, Lightroom and other recognition software believes that it is SAL16F28 a Sony 16mm f2.8 Fisheye lens. There are no lens profile adjustments made to the images. Just as I do not make adjustments to the images to be treated as taken by a Sony Lens I do not try to find out how to undo any incorrect attribution. The two lenses could be very similar even near identical, all I know is that this wonder is from Minolta. This description is way too long, is it oft stated if I had more time then I would send better in fewer words?

Amsterdam - Spaarndammerplantsoen.
"Spaarndam 2" is a social housing complex built in the Amsterdam School style of architecture and designed in 1918 by architect Michel de Klerk. With this sculptural block, De Klerk has made a major contribution to the street scene. Particularly beautiful are the trapezoidal windows, the sculptures above the porches reminiscent of mushrooms and starfish, the imaginative wooden attic windows and the very special organic windows of the former shop corner.
Restoration was completed this spring.

I heard from a few friends recently about their new year’s resolutions. Quite frankly, I never believed in that. Why does one has to wait for a specific date to make a resolution? For me, the end of a year has always been a time to reflect about the year that passed and draw conclusions. I once wrote on a contact’s stream that ‘if the pandemic has taught us anything is to be kinder to each other’. Saying it was perhaps too naïve. Instead, I should have written that if the pandemic has taught us anything is how we endure and react during challenging times. It is during such times that show more than anything else, who we really are.
So, let’s raise a glass to 2022, a year to create more memories, have more trips, and discover new places. I’ll drink to that!
An extremely rare event for me, in fact I can tell you the last time I went out to dinner and it was on 11th September 2001.
And the reason I went out to dinner. Very good friends of mine who I have known forever flew in from California today and paid us a visit.
Lynn is American, Andy Oz and it was SO good to catch up with them. Lots of hugs and kisses because we all know I am a kissy, kissy, huggy, huggy person.
So, I took this photo just prior to going out to prove to myself more than anything that I still know how to dress up!

Every now and then you see things you never thought you would ever see.
This fellow was practicing his skills on these very uneven rocks at the edge of a cliff that fell sharply to the ocean below. It was difficult to know if he was just expressing himself or if he was attempting to impress either the people along the beach who gathered to watch him or his girlfriend who was egging him on from her position just off camera to the right. Regardless it is certainly unique expression.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. A shame that I didn't have time to adjust my camera to get a nicely blurred panning shot but I love this anyway. Lunch time in the office area near the city centre and this guy speeding by on his board really caught my eye. Enjoy!
