You certainly get 'a bit more' travelling on the Platinum-branded routes (the 900/900A between Birmingham and Coventry here) looking at the special branding applied to the offside of 6716. Trying to tempt motorists out of their cars - shame the 900's frequency wasn't returned to every 20 minutes, rather than the current and slightly disappointing half-hourly frequency. Its only hourly in the evenings too, granted there are shorter B'ham Airport to B'ham City Centre services to supplement those ones.
The first 900A out of Coventry Pool Meadow to Birmingham (Mon - Sat) is at an impressive 04.15 and the first departure in the other direction is at an even earlier 02.55, reaching Coventry at 04.02!

For a few years Chase Coaches operated this "Merry HIll Shopper" service from October to January. The idea was to provide work for coach drivers outside of the main coach holiday season.
The service number X58 was an extension of the folowing service number sequence:
X55 Brownhills - Birmingham
X56 Chasetown - Sutton - Birmingham
57 Chasetown - Brownhills - Sutton

A blue-on-blue Alexander/Dennis Trident 2/Enviro 400 (probably 4775) passes by as it heads to the University of Warwick on a 12X (avoids Earlsdon, Hearsall Common and the A45 etc) working. Perhaps the top and bottom shade of blue could have been a bit darker.
The addition of 4763-75 to the NXC fleet in the second half of 2015 means that 49 Enviro 400 types are now operated here.

Digitised image from the Town Hall Photographer's Collection - GB127.M850.
The Town Hall Photographer’s Collection is a large photographic collection held in Manchester City Council’s Central Library archives, ranging in date from 1956 to 2007.
The collection consists of tens of thousands of images, covering the varied areas of work of Manchester Corporation and latterly, Manchester City Council.
The photographs were taken by staff photographers, who were tasked to document the work of Corporation/Council departments and, in doing so, captured many aspects of Manchester life and history, including significant changes to the Manchester landscape.
The collection includes many different formats from glass negatives, to slides, prints, CDs and even a couple of cine films.
What is especially exciting is that the majority of these images have never before been available in a digital format and therefore have only ever been seen by a handful of people.
A team of dedicated Staff and Volunteers are currently working on the systematic digitisation of the negatives held within the collection.
This album represents the result of their work to date.
