taken with a plastic toy robot camera (like it has a robot face with 3 lenses)

This photo was used to explain to our 7 year old what happens when you open the back of the camera. We lost a few photos in between, but all in all, not the end of the world. I'm thinking the last half inch is cropped off because even though the scanner fits them on the platten, it doesn't really scan that far...it's 11.69 inches and 2- 4x6 end up being too much.

About Myvatn

Mývatn is a shallow eutrophic lake situated in an area of active volcanism in the north of Iceland, not far from Krafla volcano. The lake and its surrounding wetlands have an exceptionally rich fauna of waterbirds, especially ducks. The lake was created by a large basaltic lava eruption 2300 years ago, and the surrounding landscape is dominated by volcanic landforms, including lava pillars and rootless vents (pseudocraters). The effluent river Laxá is known for its rich fishing for Brown Trout and Atlantic Salmon.

The name of the lake (Icelandic mý ("midge") and vatn ("lake"); the lake of midges) comes from the huge numbers of midges to be found there in the summer.

The name Mývatn is sometimes used not only for the lake but the whole surrounding inhabited area. The River Laxá, Lake Mývatn and the surrounding wetlands are protected as a nature reserve (the Mývatn-Laxá Nature Conservation Area).

I am going to put all of me into the simple little things that mean most to us.

Renown for its resplendent vistas, the road to Hana offers more than just 500+ turns... Lush rain forest and grand views of the coast make this a must-see drive. This nature trail offers gorgeous views of various plants and trees that thrive on Maui, and for the adventurous, a rough route that extends to supposed views of a waterfall....
