You came into my life

Quietly , simply , placidly

And my words stood still

I couldn’t express in words

Or even in simple gestures

The secret I kept in my heart

So I loved in silence ,

Admired you from a distance

Dreamt of you from afar

I wanted to say I love you …

I wanted to say I care

But cowardly , maybe , you’ll only laugh at me

In silence then I will love you ..

In silence then I will care …

I got caught in a hail storm on the walk back from rehearsals today. & then there was a rainbow outside & the light was gorgeous so I went to take photos & it started hailing again. I didn't know if my camera would respond well to hail so I zipped it into my sweatshirt & then sheltered under this rose bush that grows up the side of our house. Not fun. But also kinda fun.

I need to remember to use my Mom's computer tomorrow so I can photoshop some of the window shots!

Hannah was actually jumping quite high here, but the way I cropped it hides that. There was way too much overblown floor.

I'm glad I got explore as at first I wasn't sure it was worth the effort.

I had to spent ages finding the right crop.

& then it was too saturated.

I pushed it into b&w & then lazily painted her body back in.

Then her legs looked too orange so I had to desaturate that.

& it still looked horribly bare, so I messed around with a vignette.

& the crop still wasn't right so I had to look at that again.

It seems so simple looking back on it.

But there were just so many things wrong with it originally.

People like it though, so that's a good thing.

Note: The 17 mile road (or Trail if you like) is a rough and tough path that leads you thru the park and around many of the prominent Bluffs and Buttes. It if very rough and High Clearance Vehicles are recommended. We acturally went around the route twice, waiting for the light to change as sunset approached. Some of the Buttes and Bluffs are well lit by early morning light, and others are

best taken of an evening.

Spent a wonderful day at the British Wildlife Centre with the camera club.

Numerous images to sort through, but this one gets my vote for the 365. I know its not sharp enough, but it makes me giggle.

Seaside enforcement

In 2006 new scientific data revealed that waves along the Dutch coast possessed more energy and - in cases of a super storm - could run up higher on the Hondsbossche and Pettemer sea dike then always had been assumed. As a result the possible occurences of up rolling waves overtopping the sea dike doubled.

The sea dike no longer met the safety criteria to withstand a possible super storm on the North Sea to occur once in 10.000 years.

Following five years of studies and consultations with the local community, it was decided to reduce the overtopping by creating a beach in front of the sea dike.

The main advantage of a beach is an optional extra reinforced - by sand suppletion - in case of further sea level rise. Additionally the new beach is expected to generate more tourism, stimulating the local economy. The replenishment activities will be carried out with four trailing suction hopper dredgers depositing 40 million cubic meters of sand sourced from sea. P1290859

We saw so many buildings in Portugal with this beautiful shrub climbing all over them - beautiful sight ! They come in all sorts of different colours, but this is my favourite - a lovely salmon pink.

They are native plants of South America from Brazil west to Perú and south to southern Argentina (Chubut Province). Bougainvillea are also known as buganvilla (Spain), bugambilia (Mexico), Napoleón (Honduras), veranera (Colombia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama), trinitaria (Colombia, Cuba, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic & Venezuela), Santa Rita (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) or papelillo (northern Peru).

Bet you didn't know that - but I hope you like this !

ABOUT- "Toksik Jello"- The Story of Beanz is a concept short tale, which tells the story about a boy navigating socially between a wasteland of fragmentations and warring personalities.

The Story is about hypothetical choices...the "what if?".

A stroll along a path of freedom to make ones own mind on "who and what", is genuine and selfless!

This is a Hobby Hawk that is now wild. It was released by Steve Hopper and it occasionally comes in for the odd free meal. We were lucky enough to witness this. It's a really beautiful bird, and obviously, Steve has done a great job with it.

Porthmadog, known locally as "Port", is a small coastal town and community in the Eifionydd area of Gwynedd, in Wales. It has been so spelt officially since 1974. Before 1972 in the administrative county of Caernarfonshire, it lies 5 miles (8 km) east of Criccieth, 11 miles (18 km) south-west of Blaenau Ffestiniog, 25 miles (40 km) north of Dolgellau and 20 miles (32 km) south of Caernarfon. It developed in the 19th century as a port exporting slate to England and elsewhere, but since the decline of the industry it has become a shopping centre and tourist destination. It has easy access to Snowdonia National Park and is the terminus of the Ffestiniog Railway. The 1987 National Eisteddfod was held in Porthmadog. The community includes the nearby villages of Borth-y-Gest, Morfa Bychan and Tremadog.
