This was taken near the summit of what we called 'monkey mountain' in Khaosiung. We spent all day looking for those little buggers and found only a handful only once we'd given up the search. It was a beautiful day nonetheless. Taiwan is a beautiful country.

like an old friend waiting for you to come home...
running up to you on the old rural road... smiling with open arms...
the sheets of laundry flowing in the wind...
the loud city sounds no where to be heard,
instead replaced with the birds,
the nearby creek,
and someone pulling a wheel barrow
to make bricks for the road so in need of repair
but yet so beautiful in its cracks and incongruence..
