I usually find most fireworks pictures pretty much the same, so this year I put on a filter, and feel like it successfully spiced up pictures that are traditionally difficult to make stand out.

Okay, they didn't really explode, just came apart on me while I was in attendance at my first meeting as a board member of my electric cooperative. I had dug them out of my closet because my other brown shoes had been wrecked with my truck. I was so embarrassed I left the meeting early; this is how my shoes looked when I got home!

I have uploaded this a few days after it was taken... If you see my photo 'Exploding Clouds', this is the big picture. You can just see some dark patches in front of the clouds which are smaller 'wispy' clouds that are shooting across in front at a rate of knots. If you watched all this closely for a couple of minutes, you could actually watch the clouds 'exploding outwards' It was awesome.

With the flowers everywhere about 3 weeks early this year, I went over to Ponemah Bog this weekend to check the progress. I was suprised to see some of the Rhodora and Bog Laurel in bloom already. Not much, but definately some.

The blooms were concentrated on the edges, with the middle still pretty barren. Lots of blueberry flowers in bloom too.

I figure another week of nice weather and this place'll really pop!

About a week ago I had a meeting at the Philips High Tech Campus in Eindhoven about giving a few guest lectures about architecture and interior photography.

When we walked around the water in front of The Strip it was still frozen over, but it was starting to crack. I shot a series and am quite fond with the result.

In the meantime I have given the first lecture, about architecture photography. I got some god reactions and feedback. In 1,5 weeks the next one is up, about interior photography.
