Winter in denmark is not much to write home about, however, those few moments, where everything just comes together in a big whole, and colors and light explodes in a big drama in front of you are just to die fore. This picture is in low res, to be able to do a suitable cut out and adapt light, since I had to make the capture hand held.

I bet it smells good... Wish there had been one closer down. But I'm glad we got to see one at all.

Chocolate mud cake covered with sugarpaste icing with stars on wires.

I tried to bake a pie. Stupidly, I misread the directions and took it out of the aluminum container :)

Nature behaves in surprising ways, on September 10, 2011.

Two anvils were placed, one upside-down, on top of each other with an explosive between them. I don't know what the explosive was but when they lit the fuse they ran away pretty fast. The top anvil flew 25+ feet in the air.

Once again I found myself back in the clay of Biddinghuizen for the 24th edition of Lowlands. As a night reporter I skipped most of the day program but when you look at the pictures it wasn't all nocturnal in the end.

Explode Into Colors plays Feb. 5, 2010, at Subterranean in Chicago. My review and photos are at: www.undergroundbee.com/2010/02/explode-into-colors.html

A length of thin tungsten wire being vaporized (or sublimated) by the discharge of two large capacitors. I had to make a pinhole mask for my camera because the explosion is so bright, that I couldn't stop down the lens enough. Camera: Pentax 6x7 200mm lens.
