Pour répondre au manque de visibilité des femmes dans les médias au Sénégal, Social Change Factory,
l’Ambassade de France au Sénégal et le groupe Egaé, avec le soutien de ONU Femmes WCARO ont lancé la plateforme en ligne « Les Expertes Sénégal », accessible sur : expertessenegal.com. Elle recensera les profils de centaines de femmes chercheuses,
femmes d’affaires, professionnelles, journalistes et responsables d'associations au Sénégal, prêtes à intervenir
dans les médias.

To address the lack of visibility of women in the media in Senegal, Social Change Factory,
the French Embassy in Senegal and the Egaé Group, with the support of UN Women WCARO, have launched the online platform "Les Expertes Sénégal", accessible at: expertessenegal.com. It will list the profiles of hundreds of women researchers,
businesswomen, professionals, journalists and leaders of associations in Senegal, ready to intervene in the media.

The Delegates started their day when executive coach and leadership expert Susan Dunlap joined the group to lead delegates through centering, grounding, and commitment exercises as they articulated their mission statements for participating in the program.
Afterward, the group went to participate in a strength and conditioning session with Carmen Sturniolo, owner and head coach of Ambitious Athletics.

My line of “Art Bag” are actually an offshoot of my quilting, and yet has taken a life of its own. From initially making bags for friends and friends of friends, I have recently received recognition such as being asked to design bags to co-ordinate with QNNTV.com. (an Internet quilting show). My bags - including my everyday bags - are all one of a kind, and generally reflect some of the beauty around us. My art bags are made primarily with cotton quilting fabrics, embellished with heavy thread painting, bobbin work, crystals, ribbon work and other surprises. Appliquéd fabric is the start of my design and then the sky's the limit... So far, I have made bags for women from 16 to 66 and beyond - anyone who appreciates beauty with a little whimsy thrown in! My designs are often inspired by my garden, and each bag is as unique as its owner!
I started as a self-taught quilter about three years ago. I never knew the "rules," so I broke a lot of them - with exciting results! After making a bag for my college-age daughter, one of her friends asked me to do bags for her wedding party, and a monster was born. Using my art quilting techniques on bags is a way to make that artwork approachable and to enjoy it on a daily basis. I am a self taught sewer anddesigner with no art or design education. This is a new and self directed adventure .My first a bag was inspired by an English nursery rhyme I learned as a child. Those same fairies and floral gardens still light up my imagination. You'll often find a fairy or two in my "gardens!"
My biggest nightmare is quite regular. I tend to "eat up" machines. I work sometimes 10-12 hours a day designing new Art Bags, and my machine is my best friend. It is very nice to be on great terms with my sewing machine store! Amazingly early on, my art quilts were selected to appear at the prestigious AQS show at Paducah. Shortly after, I started to design Art bags around my quilts, my bags capture the imagination and sense of whimsy of their owners and make them smile. My bags can touch their hearts!
