I've always been a huge fan of the LEGO Orient Expedition theme, espcecially of the Himalaya sets.

Puma - due to a lot of activity in my garden (other cats) she is not coming out very often now. But this day was an expedition day ! 😻

Microscale polar expedition out on a research mission to study the Antarctic ice shelf thinning and the effect on the wildlife population, such as the seals. Expedition using couple of snowcat vehicles to traverse the frozen landscape.
I was inspired by the 2014 Arctic Lego sets and just had to build a microscale version.
Facts about Expedition Everest:
Expedition EVEREST Disney officially Opened April 7, 2006
This attraction is 200 feet high making it the highest "mountain" in Florida
FASTPASS available (and highly recommended)
44" Height Restriction
Overview: Walt Disney World guests will discover for themselves the fearsome legend of the Yeti when experiencing Expedition EVEREST. This high-speed train adventure combines coaster-like thrills with the excitement of a close encounter with the Abominable Snowman.
The Expedition EVEREST adventure begins when guests board an old mountain railway destined for Mount Everest. As the train heads for the snowy mountain peak, it passes through bamboo forests, waterfalls and fields of glaciers.
The excitement begins when it's discovered that the train tracks end in a twisted wreck of metal. From here, the train careens backwards and forwards through darkness, frigid canyons and treacherous caverns. A face to face encounter with the legendary Yeti (guardian of the Himalayas) brings this tumultuous train ride to its dramatic conclusion.

This ship that looks like a small cruise boat is used for Exploring, as is indicated on the front of the ship.
I’m continuing today with another Animal Kingdom shot. This is my first shot of Expedition Everest with the new seating area. It’s still a little odd to me to visit Animal Kingdom after dark. It was such a rare treat I only managed to shoot it after dark once in 6 years. Perhaps that’s what I should blame my serious lack of Animal Kingdom shots on. Regardless, now that it’s always open after dark I look forward to padding out my Animal Kingdom shots. This last trip I honestly focused most of my after-hours time in Pandora, so I still don’t have lots of night shots throughout the park. At least though it gives me something to look forward to for next time.

Maiden voyage in my 1997 Feathercraft K1 Expedition. This folds up and fits into a (large) backpack. No leaks! In spite of a mouse nest and a supply of nuts in the bow. Paddles well. Pleasant morning dragging an old Creeper for muskie at Clear Fork Reservoir. No fish.

Besides building with LEGO, my other hobby is birdwatching and photography. I have wanted to take a birdwatching trip to Patagonia for a long time, and I hope to be able to do so when the pandemic health emergency ends. In this model I made a 4x4 vehicle, and two emblematic birds of Patagonia: a rhea and an Andean condor. The two minifigures are a pair of bird lovers, one with a camera with a telephoto lens and the other with binoculars.
All images were taken with a Nikon F5 using a variety of lenses:
400mm (sometimes with a doubler making it the equivalent of an 800mm lens)
85mm
30-70mm zoom
All photos in this collection were taken by former NASA astronaut Ed Lu, CEO and co-founder of the B612 Foundation during his 6 months aboard the International Space Station on Expedition 7.
