He was so into the moment he didn't even noticed I took this shot right when the jack-o'-lantern appeared!

He is getting such a smart wizard!

By the way... this is day 265!! Only 100 left!!!

Unbelievable how quick this project is going

I hope you all have a great weekend!

***EXPLORED: Jul 17, 2011 #164*** Thank you guys, seriously, two in one week? that's awesome! I'm honoured to have people look at my work and like it!

"A Patronus is a kind of positive force, and for the wizard who can conjure one, it works something like a shield, with the Dementor feeding on it, rather than him. In order for it to work, you need to think of a memory. Not just any memory, a very happy memory, a very powerful memory… Allow it to fill you up... lose yourself in it... then speak the incantation "Expecto Patronum"."

I KNOW. I totally suck. I missed two days and waited so long to upload this one.. I'm soooorry! but really though, i had a good reason, things got busy there was a wedding to go to.. so. yeah I'm sorry.

but here's my dementor/ patronus photo!! Which I was so excited to do haha. :D

I made this wolf from scratch! I'm so proud of him, I love him. n____n

I've decided that my patronus would be a wolf because I can be a lone wolf but I'm also very loyal and protective of my pack/ family. Although, I did this App on facebook.. and it told me I was a Hare. :\ (Oh and then my boyfriend checked his and got a super cool freakin' PHOENIX !!) I don't mind having a hare as a patronus but a wolf is so much cooler, and cuter!

Well, honestly, I thought that one picture will be the last appearance of my Mafia game character Vanessa Spellcaster (I made earlier tributes to her in 2018 here and here). At the time it seemed just right - the farewell tribute to the old forum (now long gone) where those games took place, a character who was saved and someone who wasn't, and no, it wasn't just a picture about characters, it's not that simple, and a screenshot I chose wasn't random. :) Well, it turned out, I'm still not over it - the Game, I mean - so I took this picture in the last year, a few days after something good, something I waited for a 3.5 years has happened, because you know, you need happy memories to cast a Patronus. ;)

I have quite a collection of those flexible Eastern Dragons in various colors, cause they're super cute, and of course I couldn't resist to buy the one which glows in the dark. Well, not one, though - I have the big one which glows green, the default glowing color, and the one which glows blue like a true Patronus, but it glows less bright, because any color except standard glowing green glows less bright.

This is not my first picture of glowing items, I did a mini series in 2019 (first part, second, third and fourth) and a tribute to the Spirit Warrior from Kung Fu Panda 3 in 2021. But so far this is my favorite glowing picture! :) Anyway, I would really appreciate if you check the other links (the ones with Vanessa too), cause it's my birthday today and I want some likes. xD

"From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe: she landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded, he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.

'After all this time?'

'Always,' said Snape."

Because Snape has always been my favourite. :]

....Hippogriff Patronus....

Those with this unusual patronus are truly unique in character. People with the Hippogriff are fiercely loyal to those who earn their trust, often willing to go the extra mile for those who they care for.

If you have a friend with the Hippogriff it is likely they are the most Loyal to you above all others.

Those with the Hippogriff patronus are often very proud and self assured. They do not forgive insults easily. Occasionally this pride can drift into arrogance and cause friction with those around you.

The characteristic which makes it so rare to find people with the Hippogriff is the large heart. Not many people have such a large loving heart as those with this patronus, something very special indeed.

My patronus is a fox. I'm pretty happy with the outcome of this picture, I have wanted to do it for a while.

And I had a lot of fun making this. It's also the first time I've ever tried the Brenzier method. Harder than it seems, but definitely worth it.

I used a tutorial from Joel Robinson for most of my inspiration found here: joelrobisonphoto.wordpress.com/2012/01/04/patronus-tutorial/

Harry Potter nail art!

Puedes pertenecer a Gryffindor,

Donde habitan los valientes.

Su osadía, temple y caballerosidad

Ponen aparte a los de Gryffindor.

-

-

Porque ¿dónde podía encontrarse

a dos amigos como Slytherin y Gryffindor? […]

Dijo Gryffindor: "Sólo enseñaremos a aquellos

O quizás no.)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Moc: Expecto Patronum

October 2021

----------------------------------------

The Expecto Patronum scene takes place at the end of the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Harry tries to save Sirius Black from the Dementors's kiss.

To celebrate the 20 years of the Lego Harry Potter, and include the number 20, I wanted Harry's patronus to turn into 20, instead of the stag.

The hardest part about the MOC was to produce a dynamic scene including the attack of the Dementors, and the patronus 20 blocking them.

-----------------------------------------

From the Lego Ideas Contest:

This year we’re celebrating two decades of LEGO Harry Potter and what better way to mark that occasion than with a contest! We’re looking for a magnificently magical creative build, that celebrates everything you love about LEGO Harry Potter! To make it festive, we challenge you to include the number 20 somewhere in your build, big or small. Make sure you show us the number in one of the photos you submit in case it’s a magically hidden detail.

----------------------------------------

I made the choice to replace Potter's patronus with the 20 that the competition called for.

I hope that the purists of the Harry Potter saga will forgive me for this infamy

For Macro Monday's Theme: "Light Painting" - used a small led light and light painted around the Harry Potter figure.

I went up to Coventry today, to have a look at the ruins of the old cathedral, and the new one. I also had a look around the motor museum they have up there, which is where this shot started life.

It was originally the badge of a Triumph Stag car that is on display in the museum, but I ran it through one of my new Topaz Photoshop filters - Topaz Glow 2 - and managed to come up with something that looks more like the work of Harry Potter than the Triumph Motor Company...

Motoko: a community message board? how interesting..

Klimmek: pretty fancy, huh? in my day, we didn't have anything like this. kids these days are spoiled

Motoko: you come across some problems with it? it seems convenient to me

Klimmek: oh yeah! the little brats leave nasty messages as "Anonymous" late at night

Motoko: and no-one knows who they are. I'm a little familiar with that

Klimmek: well, you can tell their maturity by the insults they leave on the message boards

Motoko: have the children of Ivarstead always been this petty?

Klimmek: ever since these were put up! but it's been worse since the new kids this summer

Everybody has got an own "Patronus", a big wish or an animal which embodies your soul or skills. So in this way, everybody lives his life in their own way.

This is actually the photo of the week in which I was in Spain and where I wasn't able to continue the project.

The second person on the picture is Karl Wiedenhofer, a very talented and good friend. Why his patronus is a car (to be exact a Audi S6 Avant)? Check out his page, you won't regret it!

Hope you like it, critique and suggestions for improvements are, as usual, welcome!

“But this is touching, Severus,” said Dumbledore seriously. “Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?”

“For him?” shouted Snape. “Expecto Patronum!”

From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.

“After all this time?”

“Always,” said Snape.

© J.K. Rowling - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Chapter 33 The Prince's Tale

This is still my favorite moment in the entire Harry Potter book series. In the first six books I disliked Snape, he was really mean (worse than in the films), and also at that time I considered myself a Gryffindor because I'm an Aries (only few years later I finally realised I belong to Slytherin, because of my personal traits), so I looked at him like an enemy to Harry and also me as a student.

But then the seventh book came out... I still remember the moment I read the 33th chapter (and this is the only chapter in any book I can tell you the number of, despite it's been years!). With just one line, my mind was blown, because everything we knew about Snape before that moment was a lie. With just one chapter he turned from villain who everyone hated to tragic hero who lost everything and died without ever getting recognition for his good deeds. This is brilliant writing, I can never thank J.K. Rowling enough for that masterpiece. I bawl every single time I reread or rewatch the scene. I think it was better in the books, because they omitted some important scenes from Snape's memory in the film, but the cinematography, musical score and acting are ideal, so I enjoy both versions. It was really breathtaking to watch in the cinema.

Actually Snape is anti-hero, because he's really not a nice person, even despite his secret. He could be better, but he choose not, to keep his cover, which was good for a double agent fighting with evil, but bad for him as a person. I actually can't imagine any alternate story where he could be happy with Lily, so despite I usually root for rewriting stories (like my alternate ending for Killing Eve), this one is not the case. I think it's beautiful on it's own.

This is my tribute to Severus Snape and his tragic story. When I took the picture, I knew that I was going to post it much later in the middle of autumn. Unfortunately, recently the actor Sir Michael Gambon, who played Dumbledore, passed away (R.I.P.), but I didn't want to post this picture on such a sad occasion (it would distract from the main idea), so I didn't post it on that day, sorry.

dementor attack.

"dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. they infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air and around them. even muggles feel their presence, though they can't see them."

I pride myself on being a HUGE Harry Potter fan. So when i saw Joel's tutorial on making a Patronus, I had to do it!

//

→ I wasn't really sure what to pick for my patronus, but a few people said it would be an owl, so I went with it. Maybe I'll do another one someday with one I'm actually sure of. :)

//

→ I waited a while to get the right shot, and with all the snow we got, it was a perfect day to get it!

I'm really happy with the way this turned out.

→ Thank you, Joel for such an amazing tutorial!!

{PS; Unfortunately I didn't have my Gryffindor scarf on while I took this...but I think it may look better with the plain red anyway. (': PPS I also took a bunch of pictures out in the snow today! Can't wait to edit them all. (':}

{PPPS; Oh! I think a Rabbit would have been a proper fit as well..but I do get major Wanderlust..so something with wings would fit. Sigh, I don't know. I'll stop rambling now.}

I can finally say this: I HATE FLICKR SHARPENING! Gah...

I took this picture on my birthday with my friend Noah hitting the shutter for me. Modeling isn't my strongest suit, but Noah directed me and we a few good shots out of it. We were at the San Marcos City Cemetery.

My cat patronus is based on Jumping cat by Abysim (CC BY-SA 2.0). I used this smoke portrait photo tutorial to turn it into what you see before you. (Yes, I share a patronus with Umbridge, but McGonagall has the same one too, so shut up!)

The dementor was made of photos I took four days later, throwing pants, a tee shirt and a tail coat up in the air. I layered several of the resulting shapes together and added some grunge brushes to complete the look. Thanks to Joel for giving me the tips that allowed me to do this!

And yes, I made my own wand for this photo. It's sort of like making your own lightsaber... except you're not supposed to. But, whatever!
