OK guys, it's time to keep my promise. I said I would post shots from Hooks Herrgård, where my husband and I went last year... :) Most of the time it was pouring rain (this was before all the snow came) so I didn't get many shots. We were out in the morning for a little walk, and then I managed to take a few shots. The main house and these "side houses" (what's that called in English?) were built in the 18th Century.
It was an excellent place to visit, incredibly good food, great service, and the have two golf courses plus conference rooms. Not that we tried these last two... :)
I'd forgotten my tripod tho... So I had to take it hand-held. That VR on the lens really does help!!! It's 1.3 sec ... :)

Yes, nothing so special about this shot.It was just a tough day due to heavy rains in which me and Trim Reaper end up shooting in front of Marriott Hotel. We plan to shoot at Istana Woodneuk when the rain started.
Oh what can I say Marriott is one of the best hotel I ever stayed. World class service!

I'm not a gambler when I go to Las Vegas or Atlantic City. I know I'm boring but I rather enjoy my time eating at a great restaurant with excellent service and watch a great show performance aftewards. Ooh, shopping at those exclusive casino stores is more fun! They treat you really nice. :)
Got the A620 back from Canon today. Where there was previously a huge speck of dust, a few smaller specks and a lint fiber, there is now only a clean dust-free lens. They replaced the entire lens assembly, and the parts, service, and return shipping were all covered under warranty. From shipping it to Canon, the service center repairing it, and Canon shipping it back, the issue was resolved in 11 calendar days. Not bad at all, especially given Christmas fell during that time frame. In addition to replacing the lens, they cleaned the camera and gave it a general checkup as well. Excellent service, Canon--thanks!

Had a lovely meal. Stu had Salad and Pea Soup. I had French Onion Soup and Garlic Shrimp. The food was absolutely delicious there. The ambiance and service was exceptional. I'd go back in a heart beat!
A repost of an old favourite. I hate getting double views, but flickr says there's no way to reset it. I told them that views some be the sum of all current views and not a cumulative thing. Ah well, forgive me. Besides, who really cares anyway? (Besides me.)
At least this one is unedited except for resizing and straightening crop. Wasn't that Sony Ericsson k750i an amazing piece of work?
