Danish/Chinese collaboration on sustainable urban development in China (Abstract taken from Biennale catalogue)
Within the next 20 years, some 400 millions Chinese are expected to join the urbanisation race, and China's government has set itself the goal of creating appreciably better living conditions for its entire population of 1.3 billion people.
But what happens if a country the size of China initiates a development process aimed at giving 1.3 billion people access to modern living conditions like housing with its own bathroom and toilet, heating in winter and air-conditioning in summer, electric lighting, transport facilities and so on?
If traditional urban development models and production methods continue being used in China, the result could be global environmental and resource problems of unpredictable dimensions. We therefore raise the question: how can China proceed with its ambitious project of improving the living conditions of its population without exhausting the very resources needed to sustain a better life?........

Evolution - Let there be Light. Licht, veel licht was er zeker! Wat een mooie licht- en lasershow. Dat maakt het werk voor partyfotografen leuk en uitdagend :) Behalve mooi licht, werd er ook nog eens top gedraaid. Held van de avond voor mij was toch zeker wel Markus Schulz. Het was voor mij wel even wennen de weg die Tiesto in slaat. Je kunt het mooi vinden of niet, hij blijft zichzelf vernieuwen. Dat was aan de set bij Evolution ook goed te horen. En dat is zeker knap als je al zolang meegaat als Tijs. Al met al een topweekend, met eerst Reloaded..... Dance into the Future en daarna Evolution - Let there be Light. Thx. Radio 538 voor de uitstekende organisatie. Hopelijk krijgt dit initiatief een vervolg volgend jaar.

Salt has been the origin of many words, including 'salary' and 'salvation' (to save from harm). This installation pays homage to the former chapel and school in the churchyard, the people who inhabited it and the words spoken within its walls, now lost through the passing of time and the evolution of the English language. Here we call upon the transformative properties of salt as 'origin, saviour and preserver' of these fragile fragments of history and the lost words of our ancestors.

Die Evolution der Lambretta. Ganz links die italienische Innocenti Lambretta, mit sichtbaren Rohrrahmen.
In der Mitte die kultiviertere NSU Lambretta. NSU hat in Lizenz die Lambretta gebaut. D.h. ohne Innocenti würde es keine NSU Lambretta geben.
Rechts die letzte Entwicklung des NSU Rollerbaus, die NSU Prima 5 Stern. Der geplante 4-Takt Roller wurde nicht mehr gebaut, da hat NSU richtig entschieden, der Rollboom war vorbei.
