Dans un monde du travail en pleine évolution le « Bison santé » du GIMS, symbole de prospérité et de longévité illustre là les enjeux de la collaboration entre entreprises et Services de Santé au travail…
Notre imposant bison a deux faces et on ne voit pas le même animal selon le côté que l’on aborde en premier. l’une des faces est réaliste, rousse chaude et tatouée, rappelant son histoire (douloureuse), l’autre, avec ses couleurs froides comme dans l’imagerie médicale, révèle son squelette.
Cette dualité crée un effet de surprise et évoque aussi les différentes activités du GIMS qui, grâce à la création d’une fondation, sous l’égide de la Fondation de France, s’engage dans la prévention chez les jeunes à travers la culture et auprès des personnes malades tout au long de leur trajectoire professionnelle.
Bison Santé "Health Buffalo"
In an evert-changing world the GIMS "Health Buffalo" is a symbol of prosperity and longevity, and it illustrates the challenges of the cooperation between the companies and the health services at work… Our massive buffalo has two different sides, and you won't see the same animal whether you arrive from one side or the other. One side is realistic, red, warm and tattooed, reminding us its (painful) history, the other one has cold colours, and reveals the animal's skeleton, as in medical imaging.
This duality creates an element of surprise, and evokes the different activities of GIMS. Thanks to a foundation, under the aegis on the Fondation de Frane, GIMS works for prevention amoung young people through culture, and among people with diseases all along their professional carrer.

The Cymbidium Congress is held in conjunction with the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show. In Randall Robinson's talk he showed this chart outlining the evolution (beginning about 17 million years ago) of cymbidiums and their subgroups.
VDL SB180/MCV Evolution 30715 is seen in Swan Street in Loughborough with a service 129 to Ashby-de-la-Zouch. 30715 was new to Reays of Wigton and spent its early career hopping around various operators in Great Britain, including Hulleys of Baslow as their and Arriva North West as their 7924. By 2021 this bus had passed to Go Goodwins Little Gem, where it became their 1961, carrying the registration WEZ 522 and also curiously gained a pair of outrigger taillamps, the latter of which it still retains to date. Reverting to its original registration by March 2023, it was sold to Diamond West Midlands about two months later along with three other Evolutions, where it became their 30704 before being renumbered to 30715. Last month 30715 was transferred to Burton-upon-Trent, and this was probably the first time that 30715 ran on the 129.

In the 60s, the western music has experienced radical changes. In the most daring artistic period of our modern history, the quest in each branch of the Arts marked a cultural renaissance that affected the modern Western culture. The voice of a new generation supported the movement against the war in Vietnam and the one for the rights of black people. Pacifists, feminists, pioneers of the electronic sound and experimenters of LSD, they all coexisted in a period of unsurpassed artistic and cultural events of modern history. The contestation of young people was greatly expressed by folk songwriters like Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. Continuing the tradition of the great left-wing folk artists (Woody Guthrie, Phil Ochs and Pete Seeger), they gave voice to a youth who was shouting "We want the world and we want it now" (Jim Morrison’s lyrics). Seeing the massive mobilization of the new era, it seems natural that this was the age that revealed the major music festivals. The promoters of the first Woodstock festival named their event after Dylan’s hometown hoping that he might accept the invitation to play there. Although he didn’t go, almost every great musician of that period participated, creating a monumental festival.
Music festivals are still one of the most important and profitable segments of the entertainment industry (events like Coachella in the US and Primavera in Europe, are continuing successfully the Woodstock tradition). Meanwhile, a great historic cycle of cross-cultural influences was completed: The African slaves’ rhythmic traditions, mutated into R’n’B, crossed the Atlantic Ocean and hit the British (and European) youth as a storm. The most famous and creative children of that storm (and the pioneers of the infamous ‘British Invasion’) were The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
