The Eversharp tube is 4.5cm in length with the cap closed and the red one is 4.5cm in length.

There was a time when many people carried pencils everywhere they went and often as not, they were mechanical pencils. They has the advantage of being able to retract the lead so that sbhirts did not get stained, they never needed a sharpener, they carried replacement leads under the replaceable erasers and they had pockets clips so as not to be easily lost.

Many people today have never used a mechanical pencil, and have never purchased replacements in these wooden (Red) and cardboard (Yellow) tubes. They were always on my shopping list when I was going back to school.

Ever heard of the Ever-Sharp? Me either. I’m always pleasantly surprised when I see a “Chicago Cluster” camera that I’ve never seen before, and especially happy when I can add it to my collection!

While I was searching for this 1940s-era fountain pen to use in the Iron Photographer project, I discovered some of my old private detective licenses. In the same place, I found this key from one of my more dodgy cases.

It was probably unlawful to "liberate" the key too. But at least I didn't duplicate it.

Our Daily Challenge: Pen or Pencil

This pen my Dad gave me as a birthday present twenty years ago. He won the pen while stationed aboard the LCL(L) 48 off of Palermo, Italy in 1944. He used this pen to write many letters home.

Thank you so much for your views, comments and favs. I really do appreciate every one!

Home developed with Argentix powder kit.

Test driving my new 100 year old fountain pen I got from @piergustafson at Bloc cafe. It's a Franken pen with a hard rubber Wahl eversharp body with a Shaeffer nib from the 1920s. It draws real smooth and It's amazing how something can be close to a century old and works better than brand new fountain pens.

Love this new Diamine Purple Pizzazz ink that I got a couple days ago. The shimmer is awesome and the purple just makes me feel good!
