A prominent figure in Canada's fabric of Ukrainian Dance groups, the Tryzub Ukrainian Dance Ensemble is a vibrant group of semi-professional dancers from Calgary, Alberta. Tryzub is a consistent feature artist of the Calgary Stampede Parade and Calgary’s Globalfest. Tryzub has performed across Canada, the USA, Mexico, Panama, Columbia,Australia, Turkey, and our beloved Ukraine.

NHPBS members traveled back to the holiday celebrations of the past at Strawbery Banke’s annual Candlelight Stroll on Dec 15 in the Puddle Dock neighborhood of Portsmouth.
They visited the historic houses via the glow of candle lanterns and string lights that illuminate their way and enjoyed seasonal greetings from wandering musicians and performers recreating the traditions of times past.
The stroll began at 6 pm where members met NHPBS representatives and received their special NHPBS Mug filled with hot cider and a tote bag at the crowd favorite Cider Shed. They sipped and enjoyed while you listening to the festive live holiday music!

On August 9, 2017, volunteers and GVSHP did an outreach event to help preserve the Yiddish Theater Walk of Fame that are in endanger of being lost. This event is part of a committee called Friends of the Abe Lebewohl Yiddish Theatre Walk of Fame who will work to adhere to the original inspiration for the placement of the granite stars and build upon that physical and cultural legacy with partner organizations and individual.
