They are in the process of moving into the of space of the Historic Abbey on Rock Street in Fall River, MA. The location is known to be where Lizzie Borden attended church and taught Sunday School.
Nestled in the heart of downtown San Francisco, Moscone Center stands as a sleek symbol of the city’s innovative spirit and forward-thinking design. Known as one of the largest convention centers on the West Coast, Moscone is a hub for tech conferences, cultural events, and international exhibitions, including the famous Dreamforce and Game Developers Conference (GDC).
This photograph captures the striking contemporary facade of Moscone’s newest expansion, showcasing a bold geometric design that plays with light and shadow. The angled panels on the upper part of the structure create a dynamic, sculptural effect, seamlessly blending form and function. These architectural details are not only visually impressive but are part of the center’s commitment to sustainability, contributing to LEED Platinum certification through energy-efficient construction techniques.

The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco is a masterful example of early 20th-century Beaux-Arts architecture. Originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, this grand structure was designed by architect Bernard Maybeck. Inspired by Roman and Greek classical architecture, the monumental rotunda features Corinthian columns and intricate friezes that tell a story of artistic and cultural ambition. While the original structure was not built to last, it was reconstructed with more durable materials in the 1960s, ensuring its preservation. Set amidst a tranquil lagoon and lush greenery, this space now serves as a peaceful retreat and an open-air gallery for visitors to admire.
The dome, with its intricate patterns and grand scale, draws the eye upward, reflecting Maybeck’s vision of blending natural surroundings with architectural splendor. Its reflection in the lagoon creates a picture-perfect scene that has been the backdrop for countless weddings, films, and photographs. Though the Palace no longer hosts the art exhibits for which it was originally designed, its timeless design continues to inspire awe. The surrounding colonnades, with their solemn elegance, add depth and symmetry to the entire setting. Whether strolling around the grounds or enjoying the serene water views, the Palace of Fine Arts offers a glimpse into San Francisco’s architectural heritage and its role in world expositions.
The Ceresota Building, also known as the Northwestern Consolidated Milling Company Elevator A, photographed from the corner near Portland Avenue with its iconic painted advertisement still legible on the long flank wall. Built in 1908, this is one of the surviving milling-era structures of the Mill District — a working grain elevator and head house complex that, like the Washburn A Mill across the way, made Minneapolis the flour milling capital of the world in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Ceresota was the brand name; the wheat sheaf logo and the painted "CERESOTA" lettering visible here are part of a recently restored ghost sign that connects the building's adaptive reuse to its industrial past more directly than most preservation projects manage. The architecture itself is honest industrial vernacular: load-bearing yellow brick walls, segmental-arched window openings tucked under stepped parapets, a central head-house tower rising above the main mass with its own taller roof and small belvedere-like cap. The contemporary intervention is visible in the dark metal-and-glass insertions that signal the building's conversion to office and event space — the diagonal-mullioned glazing on the tower, the dark steel storefront at street level. Construction barricades, traffic cones, and a "ROAD CLOSED" sign occupy most of the foreground, the perennial condition of this neighborhood as it continues its long handoff from industry to residential. The Stone Arch Bridge is just visible at the right edge.
A brass wall light hovers over a repeating field of miniature pagodas, its sweeping arms enlarging the curves already embedded in the paper. Framed fragments at either edge make the composition feel found rather than diagrammed: the photograph isolates a small decorative encounter instead of trying to inventory the room.
The close, frontal viewpoint flattens the wallcovering into pattern while the fixture projects toward us, catching warm highlights along fluted glass and darkened metal. Light falls away quickly below the sconce, so identical motifs shift from crisp ornament to near-silhouette. That gradient gives the surface depth and reminds us that historic interiors are never experienced under neutral illumination.
Chinoiserie entered British decorative culture as an imaginative European language built from East Asian forms, and its pagodas, gardens, and asymmetries were repeatedly revived in later country-house interiors. Here, the genteel fantasy sits inside Crewe Hall’s much broader mixture of Jacobean revival architecture and Victorian reconstruction. The image interprets that layering through scale: a utilitarian electric fitting becomes monumental, while an entire imaginary landscape is reduced to wallpaper. What matters is less the object list than the friction between them—the fixture’s physical shadow, the paper’s pictorial distance, and the camera’s insistence that decoration is architecture at its most intimate.

This building is located where Loftus Lane meets King's Inns Street in Dublin.
Donnelly & Moore designed this large building as a jam and sweet factory and it was constructed by G. & T. Crampton for Williams & Woods in 1910. There was confectionary factory on the site since 1856.
To the best of my knowledge it operated as a data storage centre for many years. The building is being now being developed as a creative community, Chocolate Factory, with studios, event spaces and a cafe.

Saturday afternoons on the seafront by West Pier is when a range of public open air gigs and events happen. The only difference Lockdown had made is that people are aware of the Covid rules and they are socially distanced.
My photo stream contains quite a few images of the redeveloped area under the i360, by West Pier. The area includes a flexible outdoor space for entertainment, exhibitions and events with permanent seating and is known as the Western Arches event space. The permanent seating is in the form of well spaced concrete benches, vibrantly painted with abstract designs and a matching rainbow crossing running through it.

The design of the living quarters mimics that of homes built near the Panama Canal during the first part of the 20th Century. The layout of the interior included 3 upstairs bedrooms and 2 baths, and a distinctive “T” shape living area running through the center of the home with windows completely around the entire house.
The City of North Charleston acquired the property in 2013 and immediately began redesigning and creating a venue space for weddings, receptions, business meetings, and retreats.
