LIVE BAND…NEPALI BAZAAR…PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT…CHAIR MASSAGE…AN EPIC FOLK BALLAD…BELLY DANCING…A CHANCE TO HELP

Come to join a group of local talent for a night of fun and art while helping raise money for an elementary school in Achane, Nepal. The primary goal is simple: to build a toilet at the school, providing the children and teachers with a basic luxury which is so simply taken for granted. Any further funds raised go towards purchasing stationary for the school, or for hiring a teacher to work a full year. All of our artists are contributing their works and talents for free for this charitable event. Come and learn, experience a taste of different culture, and reach out from one community to another

LIVE BAND: Groove to the soothing sounds of PAUL IZAK and his backing band as they jam for the cause and rock the house.

NEPALI BAZAAR: Peruse the incredible collection of Nepali goods, clothing, and jewelry offered from MICHAEL HAMILTON's journeys through Asia. A percentage of all proceeds will go directly to to the charity fund. Contacting Michael: info@lotusspace.com

PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT AND FOLK BALLAD: Follow the inspiring journey that led to this event with an intimate series of portraits accompanied by a old style folk ballad performed by Matthew Chamberlain chronicling an epic journey through an incredible land.

CHAIR MASSAGE: Feel the healing hands of JOSH JENSEN LMT in an incredible massage experience. Josh has over ten years experience in the healing art of massage, and his specialties include Shiatsu, Tui na, Thai massage, Reiki, and of course, chair massage. Massage is by donation, so don't miss this great chance to get the kinks out.

BELLY DANCING: HEARTS HEALING ANGELS have done repeated performances for charity on Oahu, and do regular exhibitions of their skill throughout the island. We will be privileged to see them perform their special brand of Belly and Middle Eastern dancing on this special night

Conyers, Georgia native Amy Leigh Andrews, is Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in the magazine’s April 2010.

“Some girls dream of becoming The Little Mermaid’s Ariel, but not me. Since I was very young, since the first time I saw a Playmate, I wanted to appear in this magazine,” explains the sexy Amy Leigh, who was first discovered at a Playboy casting call in Atlanta. After appearing in a couple of Playboy Special Editions, Amy Leigh wrote a personal letter to Holly Madison, pleading the case that she should be a Playmate. Her words – and photos – were convincing, and here she is, Miss April 2010.

Reflective sunlight beams through a silk vale in the cold morning air. The crisp crunch of frost under foot twinkles like scattered diamonds, as I step into the light once more.

the Olympic flame cauldron/sculpture designed by Thomas Heatherwick.

I am American expatriate living in England, married to an Irish citizen, our children were born here in Britain. We have friends from around the world...one of whom was an athlete at this years games...who performed brilliantly even though he did not win a medal, but he is not upset about that because he bested his own personal performance and set a new national record and raised the standard for his country. While people around the world are tearing themselves apart (particularly in places like Syria) and losing their lives over vital issues like food, water, and the right to live free...we are celebrating a thing that is above all of that for at least a moment in time. Looking past the aesthetic design of the cauldron to the concept and the emotion.....the Olympic spirit of beauty and unity...acting as a beacon to the athletes and people of the world. It is a pity that it was not visible to those outside the Olympic stadium, but that was not my choice. The Olympic games mean so much to so many everywhere....here in Britain after the games are over and the last Olympians and Paralympians have returned home....the hard reality of life in the UK during a serious economic recession, with wars and natural disasters causing suffering, pain and death on a global level will catch up with us all too soon and the "high" from the games will fade away. If only we could take that feeling and hang on to it to get us through the darkness...letting that flame shine on somehow. I have been very fortunate to have seen many of the sporting events and competitions from the games on TV and the internet (it was addictive), and even more fortunate to have attended two events in person. I have witnessed incredible respect and unity because of these games between the spectators and the athletes. I have seen a mostly British crowd cheering for a Ukrainian athlete, encouraging him to cross the finish line and giving him a standing ovartion when he finally did. I have heard a BBC announcer praising an Irish athlete for his good form and positive attitude...almost hoping he would win a medal even though he was competing with a British athlete in the event. I have seen a disapponted Chinese athlete weep bittterly because he did not win a gold medal for his country while the bronze medalist was overjoyed to have even won a medal at all. I have watched as athletes from different nations embraced and congratulated one another for winning after being defeated in competition. I have seen people of all nations and walks of life jump out of their seats and embrace one another as Mo Farah and Usain Bolt broke records in the stadium, and families and friends of athletes literally weep with joy as they saw their family member victorious in an event or sport (whether they medalled or not). It is all about your perspective, and state of mind. The cauldron is merely a symbol of what we all have within us, an eternal spark...a burning desire to be more and achieve more than we think we are capable of. It is not only possible to be the best you can possibly be, but to also pass on that feeling...that spirit to others....if we only reach inside ourselves first and nurture that flame, let it grow until it consumes us and what we do will become a beacon to others. This flame is only phsically present for 18 days then it goes away for 4 years until it begins at the sacred ceremony at Mount Olympus stadium again . The actual Spirit never dies though....so if any of you who see this photo or read these words have been a part of the Olympic or Paralympic games in any capacity...remember to take it with you...take that feeling of joy and pride, that wonder and awe, the appreciation for all the tears and hard work, the reward and small victories that everyone witness...take it all with you... then go out and

inspire someone who needs inspiration. No one can do it alone, and no one wins alone. When the Olympians win, it is a victory for us all.
