Sr1 3093 hauling mixed steel freight train from Rautaruukki (Raahe) to Tampere. Train was running over two hours late when departing from Seinäjoki after dropping off some wagons to the yard.
I was thinking we just had one wild evening primrose species here, but now I'm thinking there are two, this one which I think is showy evening primrose, and another which I think is pale evening primrose. This one is lower growing and has cup shaped flowers with pink veins, while the other grows more like a small bush and has larger, flater flowers which are pure white or pale pink throughout (see picture in first comment). If anyone can verify that these are indeed two different species I'd appreciate it.

Looking west from Cardiff tonight. I've not noticed the elliptical tower just right of centre on the horizon. I presume it's a water tower.

The snow of the evening becomes beautiful.
The wind had stopped, and I felt moon light of the evening.
Evening snow trekking is interesting,
but please take care, the experience is necessary.
夕暮れの雪って綺麗ですよね。
風も止み、月明かりがかすかに感じられる時間帯の撮影です。
夕暮れのスノートレッキングは綺麗な雪が見られる反面、
経験のある所でないと危険ですのでご注意下さい。
ここから下山までまだ1時間ちょっと。
帰着は真っ暗でした。ちょっと歩きすぎました。

I wanted to take extrabokeh as always, but time seemed to be slightly early. There seemed to be a mountain in the Setagaya area.

A common guillemot (Uria aalge) that swam ashore in my neighborhood one autumn evening, and let me come very close to watch it rest in the evening sun for about one hour, before it went fishing again.

A YN2 AC44 leads CN train U703 westbound over the Belvidere Road overpass on the north side of Genoa, IL. This train is heading to one of almost a dozen ethanol plants CN serves in Iowa that loads unit trains. Business has grown on the former Chicago Central in the past few years and it's great to see the additional traffic running on the line.
TRRY S13u 108 finishes up its work on the Welland Tube Spur with a pair of centrebeams brought in from CN's Southern Yard

It was a beautiful summer evening. The sun was about to sink into horizon and painted the grass on the field in soft golden colors.
Via 6451 is on the point of train 75 as it makes its station stop at Brantford shortly after sunset.

Achaderry Pond in the evening, my wee pal Jackson enjoying a swim. A beautiful area just north of Roybridge. Mobile phone shot.
Kolmanskop is an old deserted mining town 12 kilometres inland from Luderitz in southern Namibia.
It's a strange and eerie place. It was abandoned 60 years ago and the shifting sands have taken over many of the buildings.
A wonderful place to wander around with your camera.
"In 1908 the worker Zacharias Lewala found a diamond while working in this area and showed it to his supervisor, the German railway inspector August Stauch. Realizing the area was rich in diamonds, German miners began settlement, and soon after the German government declared a large area as a 'Sperrgebiet', starting to exploit the diamond field.
Driven by the enormous wealth of the first diamond miners, the residents built the village in the architectural style of a German town, with amenities and institutions including a hospital, ballroom, power station, school, skittle-alley, theatre and sport-hall, casino, ice factory and the first x-ray-station in the southern hemisphere, as well as the first tram in Africa. It had a railway link to Lüderitz."
