The Eternal Spring Shrine in Taroko National Park was erected to commemorate the 212 construction workers who lost their lives during the building of the Central Cross-Island Highway from July 7, 1956 to May 9, 1960. On October 20th I learned that the State Council of China has vowed to REVERSE the 25 year trend of teenagers declining fitness and physical health in China by supporting the growth of the Chinese sports industry.
I congratulate the Sports industry for being in the right business and leading the needed social change.
