If you look at the green sign behind the tree you can see a the correct US route shield being used for US 44. I checked, and MA 44 doesn't exist, which makes me wonder why they'd even have this sign made. . .and as far as I know, this sign is relatively new, I don't remember seeing it within the past 6 months.
