This is me failing to add interest to my cliché flower shot by slapping a texture on it. YES!

I'll be sad when all the flowering trees drop their petals.

EDIT

Andrew wins, purely due to the fact that he sent me Lego. He is now the princeling-in-waiting of smack.

I am not sure how the other judges feel about this, except Keith, who is still the King of Smack.

The SD Gods Can Be Playful...

Be honest, who's bringing the sexy, Teej or I? She's so jelly cause she knows my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard!

Day 7 12 month Icelandic redux...

The biggest disappointment of the 8 day trip! Kirkjufell. The tale to get here has been told elsewhere. The weather conditions were god awful. Maybe the accompanying video will help you get some perspective. I've not even processed this! 6 shot pano with rain spots and blur all left in!

Seems like there has been some action over in Iceland over the last 24hrs. Fagradalsfjall on Reykjanes peninsula has erupted. Some 40,000 earthquakes have been recorded over the last 3 weeks. Good job we aren't there now otherwise someone would want to go and shoot it!!!!

Our Daily Challenge - Caught in the Act

16:365

Today was not a good photo day, so many ideas, so badly photographed, you caught me uninspired :(

This original shot was me trying to 'catch' my little Cape White Eyes flying through my sprinkler - epic fail.

So as an alternative to the birds - you get fake fish. Enjoy.

Stunning morning down by the river. Slabs of pre-frontal cloud letterboxing the boats on their moorings with the darkness of the water.

Ever feel like something you've wanted or been working towards is always just out of reach? Yeah. You work SO hard and there are no results. *sigh

It's alright though, God knows what he's doing and who am I to judge why he's doing what he's doing. Whatever is thrown my way, I can overcome with Him.

Completely unrelated, I took my pysch exam that I studied hours and hours for. Little sleep = a mehhh spencer. I'm surprised I had enough energy to start jumping around like I did. Its starting to get chilly in buffalo. I had a fleece on but I took it off just to jump around on the staircase. Again, a lot of weird looks from people probably thinking to themselves, "What a silly little asian boy, jumping around with no jacket. Tsk tsk. Asians these days."

heh, hope ya'll had a spectacular weekend Flickr Peeps!

She drives me insane. I can't leave anything around and she will eat or drink. The glass of water left on the furniture is something Vini does all the time(lazy sod).

I get really mad at her, I don't like them eating from my dishes, but with this one is a constant fight.

When I saw this I couldn't resist to run and get the camera. It was all so quick.

A great Friday to everyone.

Ela me faz rir e muito.

Uma otima sexta-feira para todos.

An amazing day to be around the waterfront here in Hobart a couple of weeks ago.

Calm spells, mist, drizzle and the odd flash of sun on the River Derwent. Here a few vessels on their moorings at Battery Point.

Epic fail not taking a main camera to work...

Or at least, that's how it seems to me as I cannot make

the proverbial "head or tail" distinction of this raptor.

.

I've been trying to score a passable shot of Gorton Creek this spring and have so far failed to find a comp that I'm happy with. This, so far, is as close as I've gotten. It seems strange for a creek that is a "can't miss" spot for photographers. But then again, I'm not your average, ordinary photographer, so I consider this string of luck par for the course. At the end of the day, though, simply getting out into the Gorge for several hours is a great reward all on its own, so even if the images are subpar the time is never poorly spent.

Well when your trying to get pictures sometimes your doll has other ideas - the worst part is no one would even know she did not have underwear on till she flipped over :D So I added a heart for modesty LOL

When you THINK you have a great idea ...

and you work for MONTHS (well, it took me a whole DAY to make those darn roller skates!) ...

and you actually GO OUTSIDE ... in PUBLIC ... ALONE (!!) ...

but then you CAN'T SEE your camera screen,

and it's 97 degrees out in the middle of the desert,

and they just re-seeded the grass so it was all YELLOW (YEP, that is picMonkey Green Grass!!) ...

and when you view your photos in real size ... you CAN'T EVEN SEE THE ROLLERSKATES!!!!!!

(OR Ivis' eyes, and Emerson's little smock is all askew ... ugh, Ugh, UGH!!!!!)

My other Pullips are 'under construction' so Angelique is getting a lot of pictures...n_n I hope you like it!~ <3

A month long macro challenge wouldn't be complete without a water drop pic. Taken at 1:1 for my challenge, this was a bit of a fail. I managed to get the focus correctly but somehow set ISO6400 for some reason. oops

Action photograph of a spectacular water-skiing wipe-out. Notice the shorts coming off? :-D. I caught the skier between the first and second bounces of about three or four. The skier was okay after the crash but boy, did we ever laugh about it! :-D

Nikkor 10-70 mm F3.5-4.5

A learning curve on Live Composite I was covering the lens when a car would come by. It was working, but with a small gap in the trail. I grabbed my sweater, not my coat and the headlights got me. When I saw my other photo was in explore, I had to post this one to. Practice, timing, and failures will make you want it even more! Keep shooting!

But they do have a Tyco Integrated Security sticker on the window.

@Joey Wins I'm an old cat lady? EPIC FAIL MY BROTHER!!!

,,!,, ,,!,,

My worst photo 2020... Fishing Cat decided to shake his snack at the time I shot the photo through a chain link fence. She result is epic blur!

It's not much of a mandate or requirement if it's not enforced. Wawa instructs its employees to ask customers to wear a mask but they still must serve unmasked customers and allow them to remain in the store. In practice employees usually say nothing to avoid a confrontation, and frankly I do understand that as some folks can be verbally and physically abusive.

DAY 5: "WHEN PIGS FLY"

Sadly, no more helium remains in poooor little Penelope Prim's PIGGY HEAD BALLOON ...

So at least for today, no pigs will be flying here at BFA ...

I could see the Milky Way (Just barely) from my back garden. So, I tried my second ever Milky Way pic. After heavy processing, this is the best I can manage :-) I think I have a little too much light pollution. This is an Epic Fail on a Galactic Scale!

Despite the dramatic "boiling water action," this fish hawk failed to snatch the bass.

.

Some days are better than others..

That water splash in front of the osprey was created by some very, very lucky fish that managed to evade capture! Haha!

Everyone knows a time like this.

Part 2 of a 2 part photo series showing an epic water-ski wipe-out. This part shows the awesome wreck. The skier was yours truly. Obviously, I survived. We sure had a good laugh after this when we saw the pictures. :-D

Nikkor 10-70 mm F3.5-4.5

Actually two sequential shots of the osprey rising from the water after missing a bass. :P

Okay, so THAT didn't work ... !!

The new "Blythe Patch" ...

As you can imagine ... was invented to make one RESIST purchasing any new Blythe girls or items ...

Please forgive the close-up of my arm ... I know, I am very scarred ... but I earned each and every one of those. So there they are.

Little Charity Charmington shall be properly introduced in a bit ... but for now, I need to get a refund on my patches ...
